truth is she tried to get him to have sex when she went to see him on the pretence of wanting to see around his house but still said he tried it on in his car when getting a lift from him is she the type you can trust ?

Here's the deal....you just don't know. There's no way to know what happened. Only the two of them do.
So you will have to try to look at it both ways----> you'll come up with the same answer....
If what you say is true, and this girl is trying these awfully manipulative things to get this guy away from her mom, then she needs some serious help and fast. The thing is, once she starts lying and manipulating things to get what she wants, she will not know how to stop, or even when she's doing it, and will no doubt lead a difficult, if not dangerous life. Let the friend wait on the side, away from the family, while you all focus on this troubled girl. The friend will understand if he's a good friend.

If, however, this girl is telling the truth, even a little bit of the truth, then this "friend" of mom's is a predator!!! GET AWAY FROM HIM FAST!!!! And report him.

So, either way, you know what to do. Put the young girl first. Either get her some help for a sexual abuse, or get her some help for her lying and manipulative ways-- something is behind behavior like that.
