So why the fuss to let in some Mexicans, particularly as they may have more claim to the land that the so called Americans. After all the indigenous Indians are the real Americans.

FlashVirus, Because most 'Americans' are disingenious and refuse to answer the question honestly. How do you know what was on that land before you read Christopher Columbus' lies?

Ricky.. And Ricky who conducted this DNA experiment to bolster their argument? I think it was the blue eyed population if I am correct. History has told me to be VERY VERY wary of your experiments that always conclude to the answer you desire. I will be grateful if you continue 'dismantling' the argument and in the process showing that you cannot win it.

Exactly. We're all immigrants, save those whose ancestors were on the land before the Europeans arrived. But then, the theory is that the ancestors of our First Nations migrated from Asia. Somewhere back in time all of us have antecedents that were born on soil that wasn't the United States. Even if we ourselves were born in the US, do we not have the blood of immigrants in our veins?

Listen, I'm French and 2 Tribes Native American. I look white because most peeps have never seen a NAmerican. Mexico gave the US: Cali, NMexico and Arizona when they signed the treaty of hildalgo, partly because they owed the US so much money. This area was barely populated with any Mexicans.
Mexico also owed France & Spain a lot of $$$ too.
On Cinco de Mayo, Mexico defeated the French, eight months later the French regained control. After the US Cival War, we helped out the Mexicans and defeated the French.
They have NO claim on this land. They have no right to illegally cross the US border and are wrong to provide travel routes for other illegals. Our "Friends" to the South should respect US laws, we've done a lot to help them throughout history. If they want to stay friends, all we ask is respect for our laws.

Your missing the point, this is not just a US-Mexican issue, it's a illegal alien issue. Don't confuse that. There are Mexicans who immigrate legally, however those who cross illegally are criminals. Now people from the Middle East, other parts of Asia and Europe have been caught crossing into the US, from Mexico.

What is wrong with doing it OUR way? Especially if your Expecting something once you get in (jobs, schooling, assistance, etc.)
ALL Illegals Know, crossing the border is illegal and wrong, otherwise they wouldn't be climbing over or tunneling under.
Be Honest.

Because Indians were not indigenous to this land either. DNA testing has proven they are of Asian decent. Well, there went that argument....

Should I continue to rip apart the rest of your argument, or do you get the picture?

Hahaha!! So now you don't believe the results because WHITE people did the tests. Whatever pal, sounds kind of racist to me... You are right about one thing though, I cannot win. You can never win an argument with someone to stupid to see just how wrong they are. Since you obviously have no concept of science or the scientific method, it is pointless to continue this debate. If you did have knowledge of the scientific method, you would understand that the burden of proof is on you, and not me. You have to PROVE to me that the DNA tests were a farce. I won't hold my breathe though, because like most conspiracy theories, while they are entertaining, they lack any proof.

Ok...the US/Mexico war is over. The American-Indian wars are over. The indians lost. What's left is 50 states that are increasingly in debt. and growing exponentially by the year. Right now, they say the country's got about 300 million people, give or take, the projection in 20 years, 20 short years, is to add 100 more million at current immigration rates. The entire world is expected to balloon up to something like 8, 9 billion by 2050, and at some point somebody needs to throw the 'bullshit' flag on all of this.

Mexico needs to go home, fix their own country, and manage their own population. Our country needs to do better border security, and other countries around the world need to get their acts together also.

You can cry all day for mexico/mexicans, but truth be known if their country wasn't so screwed up, they'd live and work in it.
Since it IS screwed up, that's why there's all the pressure to permit 'bums rush' immigration. We either have laws, or we don't. If we have laws, they should be enforced. No grey area, there. Helping mexico at this point also means limiting their expansion options into the United States, and if you ever sat down and actually read some of the vitriolic BS that these people are spewing, you'd be down there volunteering to build that fence, I guar-on-tee! Read about 'la raza', read about 'la reconquista', and pull your head out of the sand, we're talking negative mega-trend, here.... I mean, support liberalization of the border, just beware the law of unintended consequences. Drugs, crime, and poverty are painfully prevalent in Mexico. Do you want that in america? Choose carefully... Don't go around thinking america 'owes' anybody anything, either, that's more apologist rhetoric that they use to try and con our state and federal government out of more money for all the poor and disenfranchised mexicans they keep having because no one tells the stupid catholics in mexico to shut the hell up! LOL

Yes!!! the problem is that Conservative Americans have close minds and doesn't want to learn anything new, it's been like that all a long, Conservative thoughts is what is stopping stem cell and other things that would help man kind, in other words, Conservative thoughts is what is holding back man kind not only in the US but you can say that for any country, but the US in the pass was always the country with an open mind but not today, we are now part or a 3rd world Mentality.

We subsidize education and services. That didn't happen back when most of our forefathers came here, legally. We built the schools which are now too overcrowded for our own children's use. It costs $18,000 to educate a child for one year in California and poor residents, legal or not, whether they pay all applicable taxes or not, are subsidized for the lion's share of that.

That is why all developed countries limit how many poor immigrants can come. Take a look at Mexico's laws on this subject. We need to develop immigration policy that serves our people and the needs of this country. We are not the social welfare service for the entire world.

We do let in some poor immigrants, in part because immigration is part of our heritage. However, we can't take everyone, and the line is long to get subsidized services here. People who jump that line are stealing.

As I understand it everyone came from the fertile crescent in Africa, so unless you are an indigenous person still living there, you came from immigrants. However, that is irrelevant to immigration laws. We created this country and pay for its services. We need to make sure those services are here for our own people first. Take a look at the schools in the border states, they are failing. We have far too many poor non-English speaking immigrants to educate. We need to stem that flow.

Yes, we are all technically the "product" of immigration, and for my family to get in this country a hundred years ago, we had to follow the laws of immigration. When my US born grandmother married an Italian born immigrate she lost her citizenship and had to re-apply to get it because back then if you married an immigrant you lost your citizenship, so I do not think it is too much for an immigrant to go through the process, learn the lanuage, and become a citizen in this country, as my family had to. All the laws were made and we should follow them, not bring up the issues of how people got in this country 300 years ago, Im sure it was easier to get in England, Italy, Spain, Ireland, etc.... 300 years ago too, but the laws are different now and people should obey the current laws, instead of laws that are no longer in use.

Some / many "Americans" (by that I mean north and south Americans) are descended from indigenous people. The fuss about "Mexicans" is silly. It's a complicated issue right now, but I think kindness should be our guide. I have friends who have quietly deeded "their" land back to the "original inhabitants." Ideally, we should share what we have.

Bunch of crap here...........if you are here illegally, number one you are mooching off my tax dollars............so guess what?I dont like that..........just like welfare............and stop making this political about the left or right wing stance...............I think its great we have a country where all people want to come, but what makes Mexicans any better than a person from Europe or Japan who may want to come here? You start giving people free rides on the gravy train by saying you are here,we didnt catch you,so by all means stay, that opens the door for Mr.Tom-Dick-and Harry wherever they are from.......and who cares who owned this land before?Should I go back to Africa and claim it because before the continents shifted,we all came from there supposedly............or how about I go back to the British and tell them I want my piece of land my ancestors had before they came here................Get a grip everyone....................................My God,someone make the hippies shut up and not speak..............not everything can be solved with a damn bag of weed and a flower.................since when do you people have computers anyway?A human can be illegal in many ways,I could give two craps and a piss about where I am from and why you think its silly for me to feel someone is not supposed to be here, its where Im at now that I seem to care most about...........maybe you should too

This argument is old and tired. Illegal=criminal. In this country (USA) criminals go to jail. Americans fought for and settled this country and we have laws. If you don't respect America enough to abide by American laws then you have no right to live in our country. Get the f*ck out!

booboolubear: so what if it was easier 100 yrs ago? Because something is a little difficult you should break the law? Hell, it's hard for me to make ends meet every month. Should I go rob a bank and make it "easier" on myself? I think not.
