Yes, I believe anything that you over due is not good. You have to do things in moderation. For example I had a friend who gave her baby so much water that he had almost more water than blood in his body. It was so much that I made it seem like she wasn't even giving him milk at all.

Drinking excess water in the absence of dietary sodium results in hyponatremia, an overdilution of sodium in the blood plasma, which in turn causes an osmotic shift of water from the blood plasma into brain cells. The brain cells swell as result of osmotic pressure, and will ultimately cease to function. Also, many other cells in the body may undergo cytolysis, where the cell membranes unable to stand the osmotic pressure explode, killing the cell. Initial symptoms typically include light-headedness, sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting, headache and/or malaise. Plasma sodium levels below 100 mmol/L (2.3g/L) frequently result in cerebral edema, seizures, coma, and death within a few hours of drinking the excess water. As with an alcohol overdose, the progression from mild to severe symptoms may occur rapidly as the body continues to absorb water from the stomach.

A person with two healthy kidneys can rid themselves of about 1.5 litres of water per hour at maximum filtration (other studies find the limit to be as little as 0.9L/hr [1]) . Consuming as little as 1.8 liters of water in a single sitting may prove fatal for a person adhering to a low-sodium diet, or 3 liters for a person on a normal diet.

Obviously drinking lots of water is good for you, BUT: The kidneys can only cope with so much water,. Theoretically, if you continually drink water so that your kidneys can't deal with the flood, then your various body tissues can be swelled by the the overflow. This would include brian tissue. it would be a condition called brain oedema. You could eventually die from it if you did not stop. You would be literally drinking yourself to death!!!!!!!!!
Hope this helps!

I live in Arizona, and I work outside in the hot summer heat, I drink lots of water because I sweat alot. Twice I've gotten carried away with trying to satisfy my thirst and I drank way to much water and here's what happened to me.I had been drinking water all morning and felt ok, I didn't eat any food for lunch because I wasn't hungry, but I drank almost 2-gal of water within about an hour and all of the sudden I felt totally strange, like someone slit me open and washed out my guts, like I was being cleaned like a fish before frying. My stomach was sick but felt totally empty, my body felt like I had no guts or insides, inside. I continued to become a zombie and I drank and drank more and more until I became a full blown zombie, I went home ate some food and called my doctor and told him of my gluttonus water intake that day. He said come in which I did and he checked me out for electrolites, I had almost none in me and if I drank as much as another sip of water I would surely expire. He explained that the body uses fluids the same way a car battery uses water, water makes electrolites without them we die, did I want to die, hell know, I didn't know that I had flushed almost every speck of the electrolites out of me by drinking all that water and not eating, but thats what happened. It was not fun, I still drink alot of water when it's hot, but I take vitimans with electrolites and drink Pepsi and eat a little bit for lunch even if I don't feel like it. Flushing out your body completely is very dangerous, be warned.

Believe it or not, after everything they say about water, you CAN actually drink too much water. I wouldn't drink more than 8 a day.

If you live in a hot climate then you ought to drink at least 2-3 litres of water daily. Half this amount is needed during winter time and a quarter of this is needed in cold-climate countries.

No. This can cause problems for your kidneys. Drinking too much water can make you sick.It does wash out the bacteria in your body, but too much water may not be able to be processed through your kidneys.

No this is not good. It will cause an imbalance of electrolytes and will make you very ill. Drink enough water to keep you hydrated, about 2 litres a day and no more.

No. Because nothing much than necessary is good for the body. If you do it the body will recover, but if you go on frequently sure some damage will occur.
