As the laws of creationism and evolution would not abide by the egg being first as it would need the due care and attention of it's mother to correct the temperature of the egg for incubation it would go cold and die therefore what we know as a chicken would evolve from a lesser species or be created by god (yeah right, like that's plausible). Henceforth the chicken came first cos it would have to lay an egg
