I've heard that tea is a diuretic, which i think means it makes you urinate more, thus dehydrating you. Is caffeine free tea any different?

Should be. Caffeine is a diuretic. There may be other things in tea which are also diuretic but caffeine will be the major one.

The caffeine is the diuretic therefor it makes sense that caffeine free tea has less of a diurectic effect!

The caffiene is the diuretic, so it would have less an effect.

But caffiene free tea isn't totally caffiene free. It's basically tea that was steeped previously.

I use a microwave to heat a 6 oz cup of water for two minutes. Add the tea bag when the water is hot. Let it stay in the water for a long time. This will make the tea stronge. I add a table spoon full of liquid lemon juice to mine after the tea is made.
