To tell you the truth, I think that it is full of violence.

The way Islams, Muslims react to a controversy is through violence. While Buddhists and Christians are peaceful.

Take the Da Vinci Code Controversy for an instance. Did the Christians start to bomb cars and blow buildings? No.

Difficult question. I should state that Im not a beliver in the concept of religion in the first place. Islam I think is a peaceful religion, and attempts to create a better and more fulfilling life for its followers. However, I personally feel that the culture that comes along with Islam is outdated, patriarchal and slightly violent, and not something I would choose to follow. Having said that, I don't think that the other major religions (Christianity, Judaism) are much better.

umm i dont think much of it. people say its the way of life, but do u think women wearing a hijab all their life is the way women are meant to live ur life. do u think praying 5 times a day is how ur meant to live ur life. clearly islam states rules which must be followed by muslims and if they are not then they will be killed, so how can it be a peacefull religion ?? u just have to open ur mind and think. a bit of common sense will tell u the answer to ur question. i'm not trying to be rasist, i think all religions are the same not just islam. wouldn't the world be a better place if their wasn't any religion ?

Islam teaches us about everything it is more than a system of belief.
The faith provides a social and legal system and governs things like family life, law and order, ethics, dress, and cleanliness, as well as religious ritual and observance.

Plus, Islam is the world's second most followed religion.

First you should differentiate between Islam as a religion and behavior of Muslims.

Islam as a religion is great, it assures you peace of mind and excellent relations with everyone, even if he/she believes in another religion. Simply, it's a religion of peace and welfare for everyone.

Only true Muslims who got the knowledge and the chance to practice it know exactly what Islam is. I don't believe there is any blessing greater than being a true Muslim, and he knows who tasted but ignorant has no idea.

Islam is beautiful and fabulous.
I hope terrorists will take off their Islamic attribute while doing bad things. they just only insult their religion and the holy prophet Muhammed.

the quran is very beautiful literature and it's laws and teachings have the potential to bestow great justice. but at the same time nothing is perfect... and there is perhaps too much tolerance and acceptance of violence, vengeance, sexism, homophobia and other irrational and unrealistic dogma by many Islamic fundamentalists.
