I'm not afraid of death because it's a natural process and being a Scientific Pantheist I know that my energy and matter will simply recycled back into nature just like all living things. I don't believe in heaven or hell, god or satan, or even reincarnation. Science has proven that energy cannot be destroyed, but only transformed...therefore one's energy is dispersed into the atmosphere at the time of death. There's no soul to go elsewhere and nowhere else to go. The very same matter has always existed; nature simply recycles it repeatedly. We're not above what all other living things experience. We are animals ourselves and very much a part of the natural circle of life. Death itself is simply a cessation of life and one ceases to exist. Dying, on the other hand, I do fear because most living things die a painful death...but once death occurs one ceases to suffer. Some who claim to have had near-death experiences have been studied and it's been found that they experience what they have come to expect at the time of death (pertaining to their beliefs and religion). It's also believed that the visions they have are caused by the body shutting down (dying) and a lack of oxygen to the brain which causes a state of delusion.

I have no fear of death. I have almost died several times and at least 4 times was brought back through defibulation. I have believed Jesus Christ who tells us not to worry about it and that it will be much better there than here. Also Jesus said "do not lay up treasures on earth but lay up treasures in heaven because where your treasure is there will your heart be also. I live very simply, own only necessities of life, my family have all grown up and are on their own now, so I really have no attachment to this earth whatsoever. Heaven looks very exciting and I am looking forward to the day it happens.

I don't worry because I have transcended the childhood fable of "good people go to heaven when they die and bad people go to hell when they die."
The Bible tells a much different story.
No man has gone to heaven but the Son of man (John 3:13).
And Hell?
For information on hell request the booklet:
Hell Is A Lie!
Free from 8v@8v.com
It's an eye opener.
Your relatives who have died are not in heaven or an ever burning hell. They are in their graves waiting for a resurrection (John 5:28-29).

I was in a nasty wreck several years ago and found myself in a beautiful place full of peace and comfort. It wasn't my time, so I came back here. The transition is a gentle and peaceful experience; it's living that's tough on us, especially the painful experiences. My life is a joy to me, as are my friends and family; I want a long and healthy life, just as anyone would. I do not fear death, I just hope that when my time comes it will be quick.

When the time it comes, just think of it at that moment. Why I should think it advance in order to scare myself? No matter I worry or not, my worry can't help to lengthen my life. Keep urself busy, u will have no time to worry much.
Actually, I only worry how to survive than afraid of dying!

The purpose of life is death, why should one be afraid of it?
Is the one common fate that united all living things. From lowly amoeba to God... you see gods die to.
The only thing one should be concerned about is the way of death not the actual fact.
People that are unsettled of death are usually people that do not know how to enjoy life.

Dying is nothing to be affraid of. When it happens you probably won't even notice. As to what it's like, well, have you ever been anaesthetised for an operation?
If you have, you might remember dropping off to sleep and remembering nothing after you wake up. You can remember what happened before the operation, but nothing during it.
I imagine death to be like that. drifiting off to sleep and not waking up.

I'm not afraid of dying itself because I know I'm going to Heaven. I worry about what I will be leaving behind when I go.
