There isn't really a right answer for a "postive" feeling in a room. The color that makes you feel the most positive, an the color you love, would be what I would choose.
There are typically some feelings colors are said to evoke:
Black: Power, sofistication, sexuality
Purple: best for sleep, spirituality
Blue: Peace, calm. Said to lower the pulse, decrease appetite, lower body temperature
Green: soothing/tranquility, nature
Yellow: Happiness
Orange: Energy
Red: sexuality, love, energetic, increases appetite, raise blood pressure
Pink: thought to have a calming affect, passive
white: well... its white! lol
Beige is actually an orange. Don't paint beige unless you really love it!
The darker the color the more the eye is drawn to it, but don't be fooled by people telling you a dark color makes a room look smaller. It can actually make a room wonderfully cozy!
You can never go wrong with a color you love!
PS- my bedroom is dark purple! (ceiling and walls) I adore it, and get many compliments.

The colours you see when you wake up define you day. As a general rule in Vastu light colours in house are always better than dark shades. The colour of walls in the bedroom should be light rose, blue, green, gray, etc for they encourage intelligent thinking. Yellow and white coloured marble stones should not be used in the bedroom.

One's bedroom is the most personal space in the home whether a single individual or someone living in a large family...it's considered a private space. This is where a person should be able to relax and be completely themself and have a feeling of well being and security. Color affects each of us very differently so I really don't believe anyone else can tell you what would have the most affect on you. What colors, when worn, make you feel good about yourself and make you confident. Choose a color that looks good on you or one that you particularly like and it will have a positive affect on you. Good luck with your choice!

As an interior designer, my philosophy is to put up whatever color pleases you. I can’t understand why people focus so much on what some culture deems a “positive” color or what some current fad happens to be. In both interior design and fashion (of which I’m also a designer), my personal philosophy is that if you like it, then buy it. Because you’re the only one who’s going to be stuck with it after you get it home and if you bought a color solely on what some magazine said created “positive energy” or if you bought an outfit based solely on what some Hollywood-type wore, more than likely you’ll hate it in no time and then you’ll be out the money and stuck with something you loathe. Stick with what pleases you, with what makes you happy and it’s sure never to go out of style with you.
I personally love the color red for my dining room, chocolate for my home office and blue for my bedroom because they’re all colors that look good on me and among my more favorite colors, but I also know that they’re not for everyone and not everyone would choose them for themselves. I suggest taking a gander inside your closet and seeing what outfits generally net you tons of compliments. Chances are these are the colors that look best on you. They’re also the colors you should consider building your house’s color-story (a color scheme) around. Because, let’s face it, just as we want to look good in our clothes, we should also want to look good in our homes. Using colors that work best for you will be the best way to achieve this.
If a light color, such as yellow, helps perk you up in the morning and happens to be your favorite color or it’s a color you can live with, then put it on your walls. Remember, you’ll have to wake up to this color every morning. Pick a color that will automatically—just at its very sight—put you in a good mood. But if something dark, such a chocolate, is a color you absolutely love, then use it. Forget what some book says. Do you like it? Then chances are you always will. Just remember that darker colors need a great lighting design (or just make sure you have ample lighting, whether or not you’ve consulted a lighting designer), otherwise the room may end up looking a bit too dark (unless, of course, you want to achieve this dark look because, after all, it is a bedroom).
I hope this helps and have fun. Decorating is great fun and choosing paint colors is at the top of my list because I love dealing with color!

I think it depends also on the side of the windows. I would like cold tones if this bedroom is in the western side and warm if it is in the north. Light is different. Also personal preferences, type of work should be considered, do you go right to bed or maybe you use this room to read or watch TV before sleep.

Blues, greens, and lavenders,, are perfect for bedrooms. Psychologically, these colors are calming, evoking deep-seated feelings of peace and tranquility.
As an added bonus, painting with cool colors (especially the lighter values) can make smaller rooms appear slightly larger. Cool colors appear to recede visually—making rooms painted in these hues seem more spacious and airy.
