I'm sorry that this is how you feel about each other.....but have you ever told your parents these things you are telling us here? You guys need to talk, talk, talk. Don't be afraid to cause an argument. Real people have to get real with each other sometimes for the sake of better understanding. A verbal confrontation is not the only way. How about writing them a letter. Pour your soul in there. These are your parents. You are the most important person in their life. Everything they do is for you and your future. It can only get better, because you even say it yourself that it's like a vicious cycle. Stop whining and be proactive instead....do something to change your situation. You have a hand to put ideas into action....a mouth to speak up...use them!!!!

Wait about 5-10 years have a kid of your own and everything (just about) that drove you insane about your parents will make sense or you yourself will be doing it.
