Ok if God created us in his image what race is he? I mean there are several different races and different shapes that people come in. Is God some blob with different patches for each race and does he/she have multiple sets of eyes (or an odd number) or multiple sets of other things for that matter? FYI this is an atheist asking out of curiosity.

Being made in God's image(Gen.1:27) did not mean that Adam resembled God in appearance.Jehovah is an invisible spirit.(John 4:24).So Jehovah does not have a body of flesh and blood.Being made in God's image meant that Adam was created with qualities like those of God,including love,wisdom,justice,and power.

Here we go again,God did indeed create man in his image meaning he has a head torso,arms,legs,eyes etc.
In the word of God we read that the races came after the dividing of the people in Genesis.
Many people speculate about things of the bible when they have not read it.
I welcome your questions of curiosity. P.S.God is not flesh nor is he of a race. Nor is he a blob . Jesus was Ara mic a Jew Olive complected not Caucasian or African.

Oh hey, good question, let me toss this one at you:
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:" (Gen 1:26a)
Who are "us" and who are "our"?
Of course the Christians say that the passage refers to Father, son, holy spirit, but that little piece of priest craft gymnastics did not come about until around 260 C.E. and was not an accepted Jews belief. Still isn't for that matter.

The Bible teaches that God is spirit and He did not create us in His image physically. But as God is an emotional being with free moral agnecy so He created us to be in His image.

Awareness Loves Life (ALL), God. The dreamer. We, life are the dream.
We are self conscious and self aware. We are living paradoxes, capable of great wisdom, animal behaviour and great destruction.
See the similarity here? Yes, I think we are an image. A wonderful image.

Why do you assume that the definition of "image" is physical? We are built, SPIRITUALLY, in His image.
In ancient times, governors would go out to various territories in the IMAGE of the king/emperor, to act as his representative. They were not the ruler themselves, but were conduits for the ruler's policies and made independent rulings who had the same effect of law as the king's word, as long as they had authority given them by that king.
