I have a history of suicide attempts. I have a history of cutting my self. I am a full time student. I work part time. I have no health insurance. The medication that I take costs over 500 dollars a month. I went to the medical and social security office for help. they might as well laughed at me. While I was in line, I was surrounded by kids running around speaking spanish.
Just because I am white, I cant't receive help???

trust me, i have done all the research of the pharmecutical companies for help. I guess it just sucks being a single white male. And I wont hate on all the people that insulted me, they just don't know

I live in the Los Angeles Area, so it is relevant. I am not asking for welfare, just some help for my meds. My doctor does help me out when she can, but sometimes she doesnt have the samples to give me. This has been going on for over 10 years, I have tried everything. But the US government can't do anything for me.
Seroquel
500mg a day.
Prozac
40mg a day.

That is not right. Most of the time people that receive grants or other form of assistances happen to be people who are just like you, but the problem is that the providers fear to be accused of racism since the people they provide are always the unfortunate and poor. That is just my idea... But FIGHT for your rights, no matter if you are white, green, yellow or black.

What does the kids speaking spanish have anything to do wit it....I have gone to the SS office once, lemme tell you there was blacks, hispanics and YES white people....ALL recieving help from the government. I am a Hispanic female and I have NEVER been on any type of public assistance. I work HARD and I support myself. I pay for my own health insurance, rent and food. I even had to pay for my own education even though I only have one parent. Just to let you know that it's not only white people that get denied. If you have a job and no kids you get denied. Deal with it and move on...maybe the government doesnt want to waste money on you because your gonna try to kill yourself anyway so whats the point? Life is too precious for you to take it for granted.

Try writing or calling the company that makes the drug, sometimes they will provide the medicine free to people who have no health insurance. You can also ask your doctor or pharmacist if they know of a place you can get help with the medicine. The social worker at local hospitals (try more than one hospital) maybe able to help also. You can also try asking someone at student health services at your school or try local mental health services for help. I hope this helps. Don't let some of the morons here get you down, you're doing the right thing. Good luck!

Get loud. Get vulgar. Make a scene. Ask why blacks are parking Buicks on the curb to come in and get SS checks. Ask why wet backs can get help, but an American can't . Embarrass them sorry bastards enough and you'll get help.
The only person in our SS office who could speak English was a woman from Ethiopia (doing a job an American wouldn't?).
That's Affirmative Action in action. That's the Democrats taking care of the common man.

I know the system sucks, and I am very sorry for you.
The answer is this- you are single, white, and a legal or native citizen- that is why you are getting screwed. Can you explain your difficulty to your doc, and maybe he can prescribe a generic brand. Also, there may be support groups in your area that can help you with your problems for free( although this does not substitute medication, which you need to keep taking).

People who attempts to suicide many times it's trying to call someones attention.
If you really love life, if you really want to stay here, you don't need any medication.
Help others in your community, do some social work, get involved with the disabled and orphaned children, with the senior citizens abandoned by their families. They need a young hand to hold their trembling body, healthy eyes to read their poetry, precious time to share with a complete healthy young boy like you.
Then you'll find the value of love, life and the cure for your lack of conscience.

It is outrageous. It happens in the school system too, particularly here in Southern California. If your child has special education needs like dyslexia, you are entitled to certain special programs. These are very expensive to get privately. However, a friend of ours had to fight the system for her son to get them for him, because he is a white male in a school district flooded with too many poor non-English speaking immigrants to properly educate. She had to take legal action. Since they were so clearly qualified they got much more than she had asked for in the way of services in the settlement.
The reason she knew what to do is that this is so common there are parent groups on the subject.
We need to take care of our own, first.
And to the response above me, it is a matter of ethnic group, if not race. The 'no child left behind' act requires schools to make specific progress targets in 'all demographic groups'. If a district has a never ending flood of new non-English speaking students, that demographic group as a whole is not going to move forward as fast as groups that speak the language. The schools lose funding if they don't make the targets so they concentrate their funding there.

Just steal an Id. Lie about everything, point the finger elsewhere, blame your ancestors, tell them how poor you are, and tell tell you have done jobs others won't, and your government is mean and your a coward, get someone pregnant, allow drugs and guns to come in if you can, support all criminals. Your not receiving help has nothing to do with being "white." The person to ask why you can't get handouts for all your psychosomatic distresses is the person behind the counter in the office, not us innocent strangers who don't believe for a moment that you are being discriminated against.

america will not take care of its own now days
but if you cannot speak English or your skin is dark you can receive every thing the welfare and social security has to offer
