Computers think by a set of algorithms, they follow a set of instructions to complete tasks and "think" for themselves. This means that it isn't possible for a computer to have a new way of thinking, a new idea, like humans can. We can probably invent some sort of intelligent robot but do you think that that robot will be able to invent other robots... The structered algorithms and processes will keep the robots from surpassing humans in the originality department, unfortunately computers will be able to deal with far more complex equations and work out calculations quickly. This may mean that simple jobs taken by the average working class person may be taken over by computers/robots.

It depends what you want to DO with the human brain, doesn't it? Do you want to love it? Do you want it to love you? Or do you want to simply use it to pass the time? Isn't it strange that with computers used for so many "routine" tasks today, millions are fascinated by Sudoku: it seems we still have a need to do routine tasks ourselves. But we also have a need to perceive ourselves AND OTHERS as conscious beings. A world populated by robots would be a kind of Truman Show.
My short answer is NO.

Human thought processes are more complex than the simple chain of stimulus-response.
Human thought is governed by psychology, pattern recognition, emotion, culture , religion/belief, hormones , common sense, genetics etc.
even the most advanced artifitial intelligence quite simply relies on pattern recognition backing up its algorithms.
Therefore untill the day computers are capable of emotion and belief, then I would think they shall not ever match the human free will..

that is somewhat simplistic to call the mind a gaggle of chemical factors, that is kinda like calling a computer "a gaggle of minerals". on the least, that is a gaggle of chemical factors prepared precisely to variety functioning proteins and lipids and nucleic acids, that are the precisely prepared to variety functioning organells that come jointly to variety residing cells, that are precisely arraged to variety a functioning tissue, and distinct tissues are then arraged into an organ. that is not any longer in simple terms the mind that we are unable to replica; imagine the medical advances shall we make if we are waiting to replica a coronary heart, kidney, eye, or per chance a blood vessal! let's imagine see you later to organ transplants, bypass surgical procedure, dialysis machines.... even if that is all in simple terms castles contained in the air today, stem cellular analyze continues to be in its infancy, so a lot more effective analyze must be executed in this field.

They will when they are capable of independant thought, when they can go beyond their programming and make decisions on their own. There are some programs capable of 2nd grade level thought, but we are a ways from a machine capable of pure imagination.

frankly speaking, i dont really like the idea. do u really want it to happen? i'm taking AI for my major but i never want the machine to be that intelligent. it would be chaos.believe me.there are lots of ethics and rules to be follow. but somehow i feel it will eventually happen. maybe juz like in the science fic movie.
