What kind of movies do you like?
What is your favorite movie?
What kind of music do you like?
What was your favorite concert?
Do you have brothers or sisters?
What was your childhood like?
Do you like to read? What kinds of books do you like?
Ask about their likes and dislikes.
What do they want to do with their life? Dreams? Ambitions? Goals?
What do you value?
What do you like to do for fun?
Ask about their family and their job.

Often, it helps to observe a person and ask them questions about things that just come up. I think pretty much anything is fair game, but I would avoid touchy subjects (like religion and politics) at first. I probably wouldn't ask about past relationships either. Talking about current events may help you get an understanding of how they view the world.

I think pretty much anything is fair game. Good luck. :)

ask questions that you can't answer with yes or no - that way she will have to talk about the topic a little - and if a girl starts talking she might never stop again :o)

It sounds crazy, but it's been known to work. Ask these three questions:

Do you own an Ipod?
Can you do a backflip?
Do you like Pat Benetar?

First you should ask them what they think life is and check his or her approach. Through his or her answer you can see whether he or she is optimistic or pessimistic and than ask his or her why he or she needs God?
