This guy sounds like a real loser. My best recommendation is to forget about him. Even if you get a judge to require child support, he's never going to pay anyway. So, cut your losses and keep him out of your child's life completely. Learn from your mistake in dating the creap in the first place, and make better decisions.
Of course its not all your fault, but you're the only one that can get things back on track. If he's cut and run, surely, you don't want to deal with that headache for the rest of your life!

Assuming you have a judgment for child support you can have a private attorney try to find the ex and get the money or you can have your local child support enforcement department do it. If you have the local department do it, they may be able to find his SSN by going to his last known employer. Also, you may have his SSN around. Were you or the child carried on his medical insurance? They may have used his SSN. Do you have any record of where he banked or a check of his? The bank has the SSN. If the child support order was recent, the court may already have his SSN.
Do it now. The child needs the money.

Go to your local office of your state attorney general-child support division. THEY will send an investigator to his bank and see what is going on. Also, they can find out with help from IRS to see where he works and his salary. From there they can recommend to your county court about making him pay any back child support.

If you can get by wothout continue on. It is more of a hassle than its worth. Plus if he pays it that gives him a right to see the child. Most states grant visitation to the parent paying child support. Do you really want your kid exposed to whatever it is his dad gets into that you don't know about?

if you are not married you might have to go thru the trouble of DNA testing to prove the ex is the father...... and if he is found to be the state will take care of finding him.... if married and have filled for divorce and he is named as father etc..... his SSN will be very available to you thru the courts...... so stop worrying so much .... dont borrow trouble........ God bless

You can call child support and see if he is under probation.

there's no use of taking him to court unless you know for a fact that he has money, cause if not you'll be wasting your time and you'll be putting up with some bull s*** that could go on for a very long time.

Go to social services or go to the court house and see if they can get you started as far as childsupport goes and take it from there.
