There is no ideal age. It all depends on whether or not you are ready and able to settle down and devote yourself and time to a baby.

I had my first at 30 and it was perfect from pregnancy to the birth etc. People are leaving it later now, but need to consider how old u will be when the kid is 10, 18..U can afford another 5 years perfectly - u will only be 27. Warning though - if u are on contraceptives, the longer u use it, very high chance it will take longer for u to conceive when u are ready - know of people that waited 3 years after taking pill for 3 years. Also know of people on injection that got pregnant relatively soon after using it for about 2 yrs. Build that into the equation...So maybe wait 2 - 3 yrs.

there really is no "ideal" age to have a baby but it sounds like you guys are being smart about waiting until you feel like you are ready. i think that 26-32 is a great age for a woman to give birth but that is an individual decision. Just keep in mind that there are increasing health risks for both mom and baby as the age of the mother increases. a good standard is that you should have your first baby by the time you are 35 (prevent cancer and down's syndrome). best wishes!

Everyone will be giving you advice on financial security and emotional maturity. From another point of view, till how old would you want to be taking care of young children? Do you still want to have teenagers by the time that you're 50 or is that ok? How many children do you want? Some ob-gyn advice that a woman shouldn't get pregnant anymore by the age of 35. You can do some math based on your answers.

When your ready!
Can you start a payment plan for their college fund!

Are you where you want to be in life!

Probably Late 20's early 30's but take into account when they graduate from high school and college!

I have the oldest parents in my class and it is scary cause they were 38 and 42 when they had me so I'm an old lady inside!

My mom and dad will both be in their 60 when I get out of college!

I was 29 when I had my first baby. My husband and I were together for 5 years - we worked, travelled a lot & lived life together first. Then we bought a house and tried for a baby because the timing felt right. We had a miscarriage first, then our son came along a year later. You definitely need to spend some 'couple' time together first. Babies really change your life and can bring a lot of stress with a lot of happiness. You need to build your relationship up first and then introduce a new little one. But, ultimately, you'll know when it's time.

I do know that there are higher risks in pregnancy the older you get
there are lots of great book at your library that you could check into
but if you are new in your relationship and want time to just be together then wait until you both feel ready and then do it

Any where from where you are to thirty five years. Especially for the woman you should not postpone your first pregnance to beyond 35years. After 35 your pelvic bones will have started to get stiffer making childbirth more challenging.

You guys have got plenty of time to work things out. You're still really young so go out and enjoy your life, get used to each other and to having sex.

There's no big rush for you right now to have kids. Just whenever you feel that you are ready.
