18 by yourself. 17 with parents permission. But you must have a diploma or GED before you go to Boot Camp.

Are you talking lower age limit or upper age limit? If it's lower, then 17 is the the limit. (at 17, you must also have a parent sign consent) Some 17 year olds are more grown up than many 25 year olds. It's all in the individual.

You can join the US Navy at 17, but a parent has to sign a "permission slip" type paper to allow you to go. I believe that the other end of the limit is 34 for joining.

Hi. It is indeed 17, but there is a catch. Your parent or legal guardian have to sign you in at the Recruiter's station. Both parent's (mother and father) have to be present. Or, your legal guardian. I know, because I joined the Air Force in 1994 at the age of 17 with parental guardian's signature. But, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I know it is hard right now with this awful war. It will discourage many that were maybe contemplating not to enlist.

Age limit? Don't you mean the minimum age you have to be to join? The oldest you can be and still join, I believe is 29.

Yeah it is 17. One of my friends joined the marines at age 17 and found it was a huge mistake. Now he is an antiwar activist and shares his experience so that others do not make that mistake.
