A Big NO. This is where the misconception started. Opression in any sense is strictly prohibited. Even outlined War laws in Quran are;
1- Donot damage ready crops during raids.
2- Donot damage trees and plants during raids.
3- Donot harm civilians, children, senior citizens and even the soilders unarmed.

For details you can consult a copy of authentic translation of Quran, only authentic copy of translation. I recommed the translation of Quran in English by Sir Marmuduke Pickthall. If you will need i will give you references and verses numbers so that you can yourself consult them. I request to all humanity that actions of individuals doesnot necessarliy represent Islam i.e. actions of any fraction i.e. Osama, Taliban or hamas doesnot necessairly labeled as Islamic. And even any opression or rape case by an individual in Pakistan, Iran or Saudi Arabia can be represented as Islamic. We simply cannot label islam as the reason of any action by any muslim arround the globe.

Please email me at zaffarrajput@gmail.com of any querries you want.

The Koran does not condone or condemn torture. It does recommend that all infidels (polytheists, Christians, Jews, etc.) be converted, and at times suggests they be killed if they won't convert.

On the other hand, Christian theologians like Thomas Aquinas, did advocate that if people did not convert to Christianity, it was OK to kill them, men, women, and children, wipe out entire villages, if necessary. Christianity has a long, long history of violence against unbelievers, so Moslems are not alone in this.

All religions and religious texts can be twisted by their crazy fundamentalist followers to excuse or justify the most heinous of criminal acts. Muslims, Jews and Christians are all very adept at torturing or killing other people and then claiming this was done in God's name or because of some passage in some religious text.

No, actually many Muslim scholars believed that Christians and even Jews were all admitted to heaven and should be treated like brothers because, after all, they all worshiped the same God.

However, with the creation of Israel, and America's imperialism in the Muslim world, this idea had become les popular.

That does NOT mean that killing Christians and Jews is encouraged, just that soem MUslims like to ignore their own teachings in the name of their GOD. Christians and Jews do it too.
