Why were Adam and Eve not ashamed of being naked, but when sin entered the world, being naked was bad? If it is inherently bad to be naked all the time, why was it perfect and pure before the fall? Why can't we all be naked now?

The rabbis have taught us that we are to be properly clothed. The rabbinic tradition stands the test of time and is generally accepted by conservative Christians as to how much clothing a person is to wear.

However, if Christians were to be consistant with their own beliefs then they would probably reject this tradition.

That is to say: Originally Adam and Eve were without sin and were not ashamed. When they sinned, they felt shame and tried to cover themselves with leaves. The Creator then covered them in animal skins. Christians would say that Jesus is the covering for sins so that they no longer feel ashamed. If they truely no longer feel ashamed then they would return to not needing clothing as it was in the Garden, since their covering is now from Jesus.

So in reality, Christians are denying Jesus by indicating that he is not the covering for their sins and they are instead following rabbinic tradition in this matter.

Again, this is not to say that clothing isn't a good idea to protect the human body against the cold and against sunburn (and the resulting skin cancer). In fact, it is a positive good deed to clothe one who is naked.

Notice that Jesus stated:
Matt 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

He said he was naked.

Just as a mental excercise, the Christians should step through the resurrection. Jesus arose leaving the grave clothes behind. Mary then saw him in the garden and he said that he had not yet gone to his father. What was he wearing? Would they suggest that he stole clothing from somewhere? (I wouldn't think so.)

Or did she assume he was a gardner because he was naked and that is how gardeners worked in the early morning before the sun was too intense? Other workmen apparently did the same. Consider Peter:
John 21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

So apparently a naked fisherman didn't raise much of an eyebrow either.

So if you want to go naked, you may feel free to do so. However, be aware that many areas have laws against such things.

Clothing must have started to avoid undesired sexual attacks (mainly from males). A male can be sexually aroused when he sees a female, especially her sexy areas which we cover with clothing now. You cannot compare the situation of Adam and Eve for they were only there that time. Males and Females who respect each others sex, I think, better we be clothed. If someone who is interested in exposing all parts of body, let them do it and face the reaction.

Another purpose of clothing is to protect the body (from dust, sunlight, cold and so on). These days it is a decoration as well.

For most people, being naked in public should be a crime as well as a sin.

You haven't seen very many naked people, have you?

Because they invented clothes........and they were so in fashion. Somebody saw one person naked and gagged and then the solution was to cover up so we don't end up seeing nasty naked people.

We can't all be naked now because sex is an intimate and personal thing. We should only share our bodies with our mate. To do less than this is to cheapen sexual relations.
