Being in armed conflict is one thing but having people attack each other on the internet because of their religious beliefs is dumb. Maybe one day we could all learn to respect others and their views and don't pass judgement on each other.
Believe or don't believe that's you perogative but don't Judge me because I believe in Jesus Christ and I won't judge you and your beliefs.

My questions are asked in a genuine search for opinons and views filled with the responders true feelings. I never ask in anger, nor do I ask with any hidden motives, but I honestly want to know what others are thinking. Thanks for all of you answers.

You're right but it's my belief that the attacks on religion didn't start or wasn't as bad till the 2004 elections. Those who are very religious were and are very harsh on those who don't believe as they do. It's not what religion you believe in it's the ones you don't belong too that has caused this problem. Also I think the war in Iraq has a large affect on this problem too. This is only my opinion but that's how I see it.
You are so right you should not be judged because you believe in Jesus Christ, but I believe most of us do we just believe in different ways.
I hope this helps answer your question.

There is a point where one gets passionate about their beliefs, so it's not unusual to see some heat here. But there is also a point where such heat undermines the e.g. Christian belief in things like loving one's enemies or not paying evil with evil, etc.
The best way to counter angry responses is to:
1) Respond by focusing purely on the issue, not the behaviour
2) Avoid use of 'I' or 'You' in responses, stick to third-person or less emotive, action-oriented (e.g. don't tell me this) and academic language
3) Avoid responding on the internet while you're angry. Sure, it's only natural to feel angry when you read something inflammatory, but it's not a good time to post when you're angry - allow time to cool off andn think it through, sort out what's behind it all
4) If you need to address the behaviour, do it with a private message if possible rather than in public on the net.
5) Agree with the other person's points if they are in fact valid in any way - be honest but give credit regardless of whether they deserve it by the way they said it. It helps to diffuse a few things sometimes.
6) Accept that some people will simply debate in a heated way and that it's not personal, just debating language - understanding this will mean a person can avoid taking things personally when they're not intended to be.
Hope that helps. There will always be some angry responses and immature responses. The answer is that respectful etiquette begins with you, and when it keeps persisting it can lead to others doing the same. It also begins when one goes to God for being whole again so that they have an endless strength to give, even greater than anything people can bite off us when they respond like piranhas. When we are rich in God, we can afford to be generous and gracious and it overflows to others.

A certain tribal sense of superiority is hard-wired into religion. It's why people keep on going to the same church.
You prove your loyalty to the club by attacking anything else. Conducting such an attack strengthens the certainty that you're right and feels soothing emotionally, as a sort of self-congratulation that the right clubhouse was chosen.
If we outgrow the need for a clubhouse, the attacks will stop. But don't expect that to happen.

people can type whatever they want on the internet
its the opinion and not fact
its their right and i guess its okay
the person or people that made that site put a lot of thought and time into it
it seems they are struggling with their faith and want to reach out and be heard
interpreting scripture is a good thing
discussing it is better
I believe that people should take everything the read with a grain of salt... and learn from it, take the good from what they have to offer pass IT along and leave the garbage behind

Sir, Thank you for such question (remark).
Yes we could stop attacking each other for religious believes, on the Internet, at one point only.
It is when every one knows his religion in the proper manner and reads about his own religion,as each and every religion calls for love and the spread of the teachings in peaceful manner and with love tooooooo

For the umpteenth time,Im writing Christ does not exist...You talking about being Christian and not talking about christ!
A Christian is supposed to share the Gospel to everyone,,
This forum is for free speech...which normally we are restricted to do outside...We try t talk everything as open as possible in a decent manner.

You actually think it is better to have armed conflict than to argue a little on the internet? You need to straighten out your priorities!

The problem is that many religions tell their followers that theirs is the ONLY *correct* religion and that everybody else is going to hell or is misguided or something stupid like that.
