You just might be a redneck if......you ask questions like should i take his gun away if he doesn't do his homework. Get real why would any parent in their right mind give a child a gun besides for hunting and when not hunting it should be locked in a gun case where no one will have access to it.

If your son is still young enough to have things taken away from him, then yes you should take it away for not doing his homework and because he is too young to have a gun.

Why would you let your child have a gun in the first place. Are you mad or something? Take the gun away and go buy him a PlayStation instead. Then, when he won't do his homework, take that away.

Yes, Take the gun away and destroy it. Why does he have a gun in the first place? Terrorist? Gun fanatic? Kids should not have guns. Unless you use them for hunting. If so, he should not have it until hunting season. Then the ADULT should have it with them. Kids do not need them. Good luck taking the gun away.

I would not bring the subject of a "gun" into an "uncomfortable" situation. The last thing you want is to give him a reason to use it.

Try something like driving privileges, or if he don't drive, his bike.

But remember, when he DOES do his homework, reward him just as much as you punish him.

If you think about it the only thing a gun does is kill things.
Gun has no other purpose.
So ask yourself which is more important, killing stuff or homework?
