Well, if she seems to make the effort to speak to you, have conversations with you and is interested in being around you and listening to what you have to say in conversation . . . The fact that she is spending time with you and is very nice towards you . . .
If she has been making suggestions that perhaps the two of you should have a conversation over dinner or a drink . . .. If she has been making suggestions that the two of you get together for an activity . . .
This being the 21st Century, many women now do not feel the need for a man to make all of the moves in courting, so many women today feel no qualms about asking a guy out for a date. . .
Hey, I am in my late 30s and haven't figured it out myself yet, it is one of those mysteries of life that men will never be able to solve.

Why don't you just be nice and friendly. See what happens. Go to lunch, ask her to join you at a baseball game or concert. Could go either way, but you can't lose. Nice friend or maybe more.
