Subaru makes some nice cars like the WRX and they are all wheel drive vehicles, luxury cars are going to be expensive for a teenager however the Mercedes m class comes in an optional 4 wheel drive, but the best is going to be a land rover, you can drive that thing through a river up to three inches above the hood of the vehicle and not stall the engine. If you want a sedan volvo and audi both make cars that have all wheel drive

I would say get a used Subaru, as that would be great for driving in different terrains. Subaru's four wheel drive system is different from any other car manufacturer's, with a system that provides torque at all four wheels all the time, and excellent handling due to the LSD, VCD, and the traction control system that were standard. Probably a Subaru Impreza or Subaru Legacy, depending on their preference of a smaller or larger vehicle. Just be sure not to go spoiling your children!

I was fortunate and BMW let me road-test the top 8 cars,Mercedes,Jaguar,Lexus,BMW,Acura,Audi, etc.I wiped out with the Lexus did a full 360 on the watered down track-if you give it to me free I would sell it for the scrap metal-,the Mercedes was to heavy on the stearing, the BMW-540 i sport BLEW EVERY other car away-for the road handling class and feel of the BMW ALL The way!-I will be buying a 760 as this is The ultimate driving Machine!

I would go with a volvo or a subaru for a car but if that is not good enough for you bmw make an all wheel drive.
but in utah you might want to think of an suv with 4 wheel drive to help with higher stance if you get alot of snow.

Well, an Audi Quattro would definitely be a good first car to drive in. Audi's all wheel drive (NOT to be confused with four-wheel-drive!) system is generally held to be the best currently on the market, and they're wonderful cars if you find a good one. But when it comes time to repair it, you're going to have the bills that go along with owning a luxury car. Combined parts and labor costs for Audis bobble between being whimper-inducing and excruciatingly expensive...unless you're wealthy enough not to worry about any bill.

Really, though, if you want a four wheel drivetrain to go off-roading with, you're better off with an offroad-ready SUV like a Jeep; Audi's Quattro drive was meant for improved road stability and handling, not four-wheeling. Their suspensions are delicate and expensive to repair, though they're better with snow than most cars.

Jeeps are tough, though, and from what I've heard excellent cars on the whole. Everyone I know who lives in the bad weather zones in my state have SUV's, not Audis--though they can easily afford to have both.

So your choices for four-wheel-drive cars really run more to the Land Rover / Chevrolet Yukon / Jeep Cherokee category. But fear not; on the whole, they're easier to repair, very reliable, and very reasonable on expenses.

Thats pretty pricy for a teen car. I would get them a honda or toyota. Dont spoil the kid. if you want to get a luxury car the lexus and acuras are the most reliable. A good car for snow is the VolksWagon Tourag. Drove with it during a bad snow storm and it drove well. That is pretty luxorious but gets bad gas milage.

I would recommend a Volvo or Subaru. Both are well engineered and reliable. Additionally, the Volvo is designed to be one of the safest cars on the road and the Subaru, with it's all wheel drive would be excellent in the hilly terrain.
