good question. They didn't !!! NOT YET !!! There job is not over.
Here is why.
He talks about a Pre-tribulation Rapture and the Tribulation is that seven-year period of judgment on earth – Revelation chapters 6 to 18 – because we go up in chapter 4 and it only begins in chapter 6. We call it a pre-tribulation Rapture and the Rapture is I Thessalonians 4 verses 16 to 18, when the dead in Christ rise and the living go up with them to meet the Lord in the air and all in the twinkling of an eye, I Corinthians 15:52.
However, during the seven-year period of Tribulation, the greatest revival in history occurs as 144,000 evangelists swarm the world in Revelation 7 verses 4 to 8, and they are preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom – Matthew 24:14. The King is coming and a multitude like the sands of the sea, Revelation 7:9, is converted and verse 14 says, “They came out of the Great Tribulation and washed their robes, made them white in the blood of the Lamb." Because of it, death comes to those new converts during that seven-year period in Revelation 6:9, 13:50 and Revelation 20 verse 4. Now Christ comes back with His saints, Jude 14, and Daniel 12:2 - the Old Testament Jews are raised and at that point, all those who died during the Tribulation are also raised.
Did you see it? The OLD TESTAMENT Jews,. are raised then.

The 'guardians' of other religions would rush to answer this, quoting their religion to be more ancient! The truth is, true religious practices are merely time tested and perfected and technologically advanced tools to realize the self. Once a person reaches his own origin experientially, it is the ultimate. What ever we symbolically term as 'heaven' or 'being saved' etc happens. It has been so since time immemorial !

The same way we are saved, through faith.
What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, discovered in this matter? If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
Romans 4:1-3
They were not saved by animal sacrifices or by following the law
Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.
Romans 4:4,5
It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.
Romans 4:13

That's a really long answer. Before Jesus man was judged under the law. Short and sweet version. How, when, and where that happens would take more space than we have here to explain.

Before Jesus death, burial and ressurection, Judeo-christian beliefs tell us that people who died went to a place called "Abraham's bosom" (Think back to the story of Lazarus and the rich man). They weren't necessarily saved, but were given the opportunity to profess they faith in him and thereby have go to heaven. They still had to make the choice.

Animal sacrifice, and water babtism. Before Jesus came here, animals were sacrificed, but perfect blood was needed to pay for the sins of the world, so that is why Jesus was sent to be crucified.

Firstly, Thank you for allowing me to respond to this Question.
secondly, with reguard to your Question. you may be asking because you are in doubt. which is completely normal.
because if you go to anyone and ask them to explain to you the trinity, they will not be able to give you an adequete answer.
Never once did Jesus (peace be upon him) claim to be God. If you look into the bible, if you have a red lettered one that highlights supposedly what Jesus has said, than never once will you find that he told his people to worship him. On the contrary, he said "Worship Thy Father Alone" i.e. worship God Alone.
Third of All, In Islam we believe in Jesus as a highly respected Prophet of Allah (God). just like Moses, Adam, Abraham, Noah, etc.
They All came with the same message : To worship the creator Alone.
Indeed, it is very blasphemous to say that Jesus Is God.
#1. Jesus was A human, and everyone will agree upon that. meaning he ate, slept, used the bathroom, etc. Things that Muslims Believe are not attributes fit for the Lord of the Universe, because he is free of all needs.
#2. The Christians believed that Jesus died on the Cross. How can God Die? if that were the case, than how can it be that he would be on the cross saying "Why have you forsaken me" to the one who is in heaven, if they were one in the same. and how is it that He knew he would die, but didnt know at the same time?
and if he died for 3 days, who was God during those 3 days?
nothing makes sense.
but everything in Islam Makes sense. wouldnt it be more logical that he were a Righteous Prophet of God, rather than God himself?
If you believe
1. that there is no object worthy of worship but Allah (God)
2. you believe in the angles
3. Heaven and hell
4. The Books that came before (the Old testament, Gospels, Quran)
5. you believe in the all the Prophets of God starting from Adam, including Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Noah, and Muhammad peace be upon all of them)
and finally
6. Divine decree.
than welcome to Islam.
Finally, if you do not wish to listen to anything i've said, at least do one thing which you have nothing to lose.
Seek guidance from God himself to guide you on the strait path, and see where it leads you.
I Swear by Allah, that if you Sincerely and whole-heartedly ask Him for Guidance to the truth. He will lead you to it.
you have nothing you lose.
I ask God to guide you all to the truth. ameen.

Well, he was only a human. A prophet. Attributing God human like traits, as in, that he has a son ect is not logical. I mean why does GOD need to sacrifice His son to save us. He is GOD right!!!. Hence most people have got it wrong. Jesus was a messanger of GOD, but we elevated him and started worshipping him as god or the sone of god.
GOD almighty is a being of unimaginable power. He is very diffent from us humans.

the common mistake people make is to think jesus is the ONLY lord and saviour...
krisna, the lord of the hindus said he is the saviour, so with all other religions..
what we should understand is that before jesus , there were many saviours....and after him also there are many...and there will be many..
all these savious are sent by the same god, for the welfare of humanity at different times in history and at different places and nations...

Before Jesus, people such as King David & Abraham were looked upon by G-d as being righteous by their faith. Remember, Scripture says that Abrahams' faith was counted as righteousness.
When these people died, they went to a "holding area" known as Abraham's Bosom. This was actually a compartment of Hell. When Jesus died, He entered Hell & led captivity captive...meaning, He lead out the righteous dead & they entered Heaven with Him.
Hope this helps you out!
BTW; excellent question.
