that "I'm not looking for a relationship, at the moment." - does that mean the person is genuinely not being able to have a relationship with you (i.e. s/he would love you, but cannot due to his/her present career or financial circumstances, etc.) - or is the person just using it as an excuse to tell you that s/he is not attracted to you at all?

It's hard to say, it could legitimately be either. I've personally said the same thing in both instances myself.

it is an excuse. Maybe the person is afraid to get hurt, or has a fear of committment. Or maybe she's just not that into you , because when you meet that one person...hellfire and brimstone couldn't dissuade you from wanting to be in a relationship with them.

If a guy says it, its the truth. Girl, excuse. Either way its a lousy thing to say to get out of it.

If they were really into you they would pursue you. They are probably trying to tell you nicely that they aren't interested in you. You should probably move on.

your leaping, attraction has nothing to do with it. That is just physical. He/She is saying. I like you, like spending time with you, but I don't want to commit to you. I want to still play in the sandbox.

if she said that knowing how u feel 4 her, i think she's not into u...
but if she said that w/o knowing ur feelings, i guess she's just not ready..

continue pursuing her... but give her some space...
