Soon after the destruction of the city, Lot had sex with BOTH of his daughters and had children with them. Didn't God know this was going to happen? Why weren't they destroyed with all the other "sexual perverts?"

Just so I don't get the I don't know what I'm talking about crap, here are the verses for the Christians who don't know what is in the Bible...

Genesis 19:32-36 Look it up yourself, I'm not gonna type it all out.

Sexual immorality is sexual immorality, right?

God destroyed all the children in that city, too... Do you suppose the infants were "wicked" and full of sexual immorality?

So let me get this straight... God will kill the children of wicked people, but not the wicked daughters of Lot? Hmmmmmm,

When was the last time you were so drunk you didn't know what was going on but could still become erect enough to penetrate and ejaculate for procreative purposes? I'm thinking there is something really wrong with that story.
So if a person is drunk and sins it's ok?

The way people "justify" bad behavior by Biblical "righteous" men is really funny.

Lot was one of Gods "righteous" followers, which was why he was spared from Sodom and Gomorrah. His family was chosen because he was considered to be the only righteous man in those two cities. The Bible is pretty vague about why Lot was a righteous man though.

Actually, the phrase "clear as mud" comes to mind.

The only evidence that is offered about his character is that he offered his virgin daughters as substitutes to a mob of would-be angel-rapers, and that he was a drunk who didn't bother teaching any morality to his daughters.

Apparently, that is all it takes to be "righteous" in Gods eyes and get into Heaven.

while the three travelers had eaten for what place did they start? For Sodom , to ruin it and rescue Lot. Whey have been they to ruin Sodam? with the aid of fact the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great and because their sin is amazingly grievous. Gen 18:20 How did Abraham plead for the city? by making use of six situations asking the Lord to spare it if there have been fifty, 40-5, 40-, thirty, twenty, or maybe ten, righteous persons in it. How did the Lord answer him? He positioned no verify on his prayer, and consented to do all that he asked.

actually, that never happened, and the reason is clear and obvios. what is stated here is completely contradictory, because if God saved all the beleivers in Him, and all who were pure, He would have seen into these two's hearts and known that they were good and saved them. therefore, they would not have committed this sin. this is just another example of contradictions in the bible, since it was tampered with by people and popes along the years to fit their desires and justify what they want. there is no real Bible any more, just ones tampered by people.
I am a Muslim, and as such i believe in only one God, and don't beleive in the nonesense of Jesus being a god. he was a prophet sent down by God, and the preists and popes did a terrible sin and made him into god so that they could do anything they please and still go to Paradise after committing all those sins. if you just read the Qoran, you will realise that it is truly an unaltered book sent down by God, to the people to go the right way, and would'nt God send down a new messenger if His book was tampered with and made into so many meesed up versions? think about it. also, it is not allowed to drink or do anything to your body if a lot of it is harmful, and so Lut would have never drunken whine ,and the whole story never would have happened. also, there were others saved, and they would have had children with them.

and about the children thing, god is not unjust, and because i have never read anything about children in the Qouran, only about beleivers, i would think God would save the children that beleived in Him and did not commit any sins. i don't know what whould happen to the disbeleiving children. it is up to Him after all.

Look at the world today, did God not know what was going to happen? I think he did, so why did he continue on and not destruct the earth then? But he didn't destroy them or us because he is an all loving and all forgiving God even though the wrong comes out in us at times.

Will answer your ???, not your comments.

Lot had originally moved into the area near Sodom because of its potential for material prosperity. In time, he took up dwelling in the city itself. (Genesis 13:8-12; 14:12; 19:1) But he did not agree with the lewd practices of the men of the city, and those men did not view him as one of them, evidently because Lot and his family did not share in their social life. As 2 Peter 2:7, 8 says: “Lot . . . was greatly distressed by the indulgence of the law-defying people in loose conduct—for that righteous man by what he saw and heard while dwelling among them from day to day was tormenting his righteous soul by reason of their lawless deeds.” Those conditions constituted a severe trial for Lot because, as a righteous man, he abhorred such conduct.

actually all the people were informed especially the family of LOt, but they did not respond to the call and repentance thats why its too late for them to go away when the fire went down from heaven... LOT were aware with his family but sad to say his wife cant take it to see her wealth and treasures and thats the time she became salt. AFter the destruction they were able to do that because no wonder theres no people out there anymore...

God spared Lot because Abraham asked for him to be spared. And, technically, Lot didn't really have sex with his daughters. His daughters got him drunk and raped him. Get your facts straight. If you had read the entire context of the story, you would have known this.

The Moabs and the Ben-Ammi symbolizes unfaithfulness to God, so their nations are usually the ones that caused problems with the Israelites.

Lot and His Daughters
30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to lie with us, as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let's get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father."
33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and lay with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I lay with my father. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father." 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went and lay with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

36 So both of Lot's daughters became pregnant by their father. 37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab [g] ; he is the father of the Moabites of today. 38 The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi [h] ; he is the father of the Ammonites of today.

Read teh text carefully.

There is no sex that takes place in the story - so how can sex be the reason Soddom was destroyed?

The reason must be something else - can you think of what it might be?
