The duo, Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, are from Sweden. They just recorded two new tracks to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary. The songs will be released in the fall on a new greatest hits album.
Also, Marie Fredriksson just released a new solo album "Min bäste vän" ("My Best Friend") last week. It consists of cover versions of her favorite Swedish songs of the 70s.
