Frontline just aired a special called THE DARK SIDE on the non-existent WMD program and how intelligence was manipulated, especially Cheney and Rumsfeld's role in it.

Anyone that says Saddam sent WMD's to Syria or anywhere else is full of spin. No one here knows, I assure you!
However, there is plenty of proof that Saddam had WMDs in the form of chemical weapons. Mustard gas was the most common and was used against Iran and the Kurds. The question only remains, what happened to them. No one is going to tell you with 100% certainty.
Why do you keep insisting that it is Republicans or "Conservatives" that said Iraq had WMDs? Did you forget the 50 other nations that agreed with us before the war? Did you forget that Saddam was violating 17 U.N. resolutions?
Perhaps you're a sympathizer for brutul dictatorships. Only then would I understand.

Have you ever heard of the expression, "My enemy is my friend?"
In the rapidly changing circumstances leading up to the opening of the Iraq War, there was a period of time when Saddam Hussain had the opportunity to spirit millions of dollars of U.S. currency out of the country. He had buried jet aircraft, and he had his underlings instruct the hardened elite Republican Guard to melt into the population to mount an insurrection with caches of weapons and munitions that U.S. troops are still uncovering today. These were plans made by Saddam and his military chiefs before war began.
As to WMDs not being found in Irag, there have been numerous reports of transfer of chemical agents, possibly just percurrsors to the actual weapons, to Syria. The first report of this was from agents of Isreali intelligence neworks just after the war began. These reports were not widely reported by a skeptical media, but were incorporated in our assessment of the WMD issue. More recent evidence of this same thing has been made public, again without much coverage by the media. The United States has been trying to get the Syrian government to account for any and all such things, plus the transfer of the money, without success. Syria will not cooperate. Doesn't it seem strange that Saddam's wife and daughter took refuge in Syria?
We, at one time, did back Iraq against Iran in a political crapshoot as to which was the best horse to win when we wanted to see Iran, then a avowed enemy of the U.S., loose.
You seem to lump everyone who does not agree with your position as "conservatives." In fact, no one "lied" about the WMD question in Iraq. Mistakes were made, but a conscious effort to deceive was not what took place prior to and early in the war. Have you ever made a serious mistake? Have you had someone accuse you then of lying about what was a mistake? Think about that and decide whether you are being fair in your assessment. Do you have all the facts?

Because a lie is something you believe to be untrue at the time you tell it so no one lied.
a- you have no proof they did not so it is still a theory that should not be discounted
b- Saddam sent Fighter Jets to Iran a country that they fought an 11 year war with so I have no problem believing that Syria would take them
c- That is the question Where are the weapons? We know that they had them and they used them but where are they now?
d- Yes and they were allowed to have them until after the gulf war when they signed a treaty saying they would destroy them and let the UN monitor.

I'm glad saddam got rid of the chemical weapons before we got there, but even his own generals thought he was going to use them against us. And even liberals have to admit that when he threw out the UN inspectors it wasn't because he was hiding his gramma's secret chocalate chip cookie recipe.

YOU are the liar...what is your news source...this has been long known...(last two years). We certainly never sold him any WMD's Exactly who do YOU work for? and WHERE are you from? I'd like one of you anti -American Bush bashing liberal pukes to support ANY of your claims with concrete evidence. You will deny eye witness accounts..there is no evidence you'll accept because you don't seek the truth you seek your own agenda.

Why can't liberals spell? Its because they are ignorant. That's what makes them liberals. They don't care if the truth is in front of them. If it doesn't fit their agenda then it is a lie, or they take some truth (we did sell WMD's to Iraq to help fight the USSR), and skew it

yeah, its funny... lets say for just a moment that the photos of all those weapons that powell showed showed the UN were real, as in actual pictures of WMD's, not pictures of tanker trucks, water trucks etc...which they might have really thought were WMD and chemical labs or whatever, who knows how much they believed them to be what they said they were...that aside...its funny that we have pictures of the weapons being picked up and "moved" but no pictures of them in route anywhere, or arriving anywhere. so that might be one to add to your rather nice collection of reasons why it wouldn't have happened.
