The bible says that "A Man should not lay with another man as he lays with is Wife," and visa versa. It's wrong, however, a TRUE Christian does not judge a person on the faults that he or she makes, but sets an example of the word that they teache by giving nothing but love and friendship.

We are to treat others with love and respect as we would like to be treated. But this does not mean that we should accept and condone sins such as homosexuality. It is like when you say to a child "that is a bad thing to do" rather than "you are a bad boy/girl"- focus on addressing the behaviour not the individual.

The Bible does not specifically address how to "treat" homosexuals. The Bible does tell us "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord."
So homosexuality is not the only thing God is going to judge. Any sin (and every sin) is worth of death... and since we are all sinners, we all deserve to die.
Paul cautions us that "if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged." Jesus also said (paraphrased) Do not judge and you will not be judged. Do not condemn and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven (Luke 6:37).
Isn't it curious that Jesus said "whoever among you is without sin cast the first stone."

Jesus never said one word about homosexuality. Not ONE word--not even in the widely-varying translations of the bible that exist. He did say (and I'll paraphrase) that above any other rule or 'law', the most important is to love one another as we would love ourselves and him.
Also, the bible doesn't say anywhere that sex was created only for multiplying. Pleasure, also, is a creation of God as a part of who we are as humans.
By the way, what is this fixation many people have with homosexuality? There's a lot more out there that might be of concern to these so-called Christians, such as child and spousal abuse, thievery, war, and the mistreatment of the downtrodden and outcasts in our world.
And why fixate on homosexuality, but not other 'rules/biblical laws'? No one seems to spout prejudiced and hateful thoughts ("God hates f@gs", according to that one supposed Christian, Reverand Phelps), regarding other biblical dogma. Where are the committees railing against the divorcees in our society? That's 'forbidden' by the bible. How about those who eat meat on Friday? Another ridiculous rule. No one slanders and calls to shame men who shave their facial hair. Just one more ludicrous biblical law!
Makes one think maybe homosexual and/or bisexual behavior is a part of human nature (for some; don't get all up in arms, Old Testament freaks) that strikes a nerve with those who aren't comfortable with their own issues. Hmm...
The pastor at my Christian church--which is very liberal, you'll see--who is a very loving, devout, and spiritual heterosexual man, says that not only should we accept the differences of those around us, but also, celebrate them. He says things such as our sexual orientation, whatever that may be, are gifts from God to be celebrated, not just merely tolerated. I don't believe in every word he says, but I think he's right on point with that one.
Did you know that the word for homosexuality wasn't even in the bible until relatively recent versions? Hundreds of years ago, before the book passed through varying stages of newer and different translations, the word used in passages, such as the one about Sodom and Gomorrah, originally could be most closely translated to mean 'someone who has hurt others, including children' with no reference to sexuality at all.
But you know what? Let's all just follow the leader, not thinking for ourselves, and join the group of lemmings jumping off the cliff in front of us. "Since God created our brains", my father, an ordained minister, would say to me, "He wants us to use that brain to question authority--including purported church authorities--and look for the truth within ourselves."

"And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[a]" - Mathew 22:39.
Basically, most Christians are frightened homophobic hypocrites... myself included, sometimes. But, I read the greatest quote a while ago. I don't remember the extact wording, but the guist was something like, "The Bible contains 15 (neither of the numbers here will be exact) condemnations of homoxexual relationships, and 527 of heterosexual relationships. Its not that God loves Gay people more, its just that heterosexuals need more watching..."
Had to say that. The quote just makes me happy!

The bible wasn't written by Jesus or God but by men long after Jesus was dead. So how the bible would interpret treatment of gays would be pointless. Jesus having been a compassionate man would probably wish all people would treat All People with compassion. Just a hunch.

Every human being is called to receive a gift of divine sonship, to become a child of God by grace. However, to receive this gift, we must reject sin, including homosexual behavior—that is, acts intended to arouse or stimulate a sexual response regarding a person of the same sex. Such acts are always violations of divine and natural law.
Homosexual desires, however, are not in themselves sinful. People are subject to a wide variety of sinful desires over which they have little direct control, but these do not become sinful until a person acts upon them, either by acting out the desire or by encouraging the desire and deliberately engaging in fantasies about acting it out. People tempted by homosexual desires, like people tempted by improper heterosexual desires, are not sinning until they act upon those desires in some manner.
Jude 7 records that Sodom and Gomorrah "acted immorally and indulged in unnatural lust." Ezekiel says that Sodom committed "abominable things" (Ezek. 16:50), which could refer to homosexual and heterosexual acts of sin. Lot even offered his two virgin daughters in place of his guests, but the men of Sodom rejected the offer, preferring homosexual sex over heterosexual sex (Gen. 19:8–9). Ezekiel does allude to a lack of hospitality in saying that Sodom "did not aid the poor and needy" (Ezek. 16:49). So homosexual acts and a lack of hospitality both contributed to the destruction of Sodom, with the former being the far greater sin, the "abominable thing" that set off God’s wrath.
Homosexual or not, we treat everyone with love and respect. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

the bible dosn't actually say how to treat homosexuals. however, god did destroy sodom and gomorrah because the people wanted to anally rape the angels he sent to talk to lot. I think god has the attitude don't force your lifestyle onto others. and I think that goesfor more than just homosexuality .

The bible says that ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God. No one is sinless. People don't come to Christ of themselves, anyway. By faith you are saved, and that not of yourself, lest any man should boast. So,I would guess that the answer would be, "There but for the grace of God go I".
