Dairy foods give you a lot of calcium which is good for the bones and vitamins. Before you turn 18 you must at least drink full cream milk because your bones will then stock up on calcium in time for when you turn 30 because when you turn 30 calcium starts to eliminate itself from your bones and if you don't have enough you could get Osteoporosis or Arthritis and many other related deceases

well its high in "A" quality protein .ie with all essential amino acids and high protein digestibility ratio (PER) .
Compared to egg and meat it is pure vegeterian diet which when combined with well cooked cereal meal make up a perfect proetein combination ie suppliments the "B" grade proteins in cereals and legumes by providing its essential amino acids which the cereals and legumes lack.
Every one knows that meat and eggs make us more aggressive whereas dairy products don't .
when you buy meat you may not get the best part (lean) but when you buy dairy products you don't need to worry about getting egg shells or bones, skin or blubber .everything is edible in dairy products.
It is a health friendly diet.Me myself being a new vegeterian i would suggest you to refrain from non-veg diet .
