It takes years for someone from another country waiting in line to come legally. How long does Mexico make us wait in line to go live and work in Mexico? Years? I doubt it, but I don't know. I doesn't sound just. Someone let me know. Thank you.

It takes time---get over it

Some people wait years for their Disability. And many were ahead of the line, What do you think they have one office person for every 5 people or what.

I worked for health. You could get 300-400 request a day per office person. To go over papers and check it out make appointments, see people. help them get all the papers needed. Its not a 5 min process.
And getting all the papers from the Doctors who have 50 patients a day take times-they have other work too.

Wait you have no right to complain. And that is not the biggest problem in the world.!

I don't want to go to Mexico to work or live. Think about how many people want to come here legally, how many people want visas, and on top of that we have all these illegal immigrants coming over. Perhaps you are familiar with the word "quota." Well, once we are full for the year we are full. Plus we have the diversity lottery, which punishes people by the circumstances of their birth. You could be in line ahead of someone, but when that diversity lottery comes up, someone may get to go ahead of you because of their country of origin. Mainly, it is a quota thing. We have to have responsible immigration because we, like all other countries in the world, have limited resources. The U.S takes in more immigrants every year than ANY other country in the world, and many more people want to come here. Really, think about the number of people that are in this world. Then think about the percentage of those people who probably want to come to the U.S. That's going to be a long line. We can't bring all of those people over at the same time once they finish all the paperwork and background checks, that would be insane. No country could handle that kind of a massive influx into the nation. Heck, we couldn't even handle Katrina.

There are 2 reasons:

1. 12 million illegal immigrants have taken the places of about 4 million people who are or who have been on the waiting lists to enter the country legally.

2. The United States is the one country that has throughout it's history been seen as the place where the poor and oppressed can come to have the best chance for freedom and prosperity. In other words, more people want in than we can let in while still protecting the interests of American citizens.

The U.S. has the most lenient immigration laws of any country in the world. Most countries do not allow immigration unless the immigrant has the means to support themselves without getting a job in their new country, or if they are bringing in a business that will create jobs for the citizens of that country and/or contribute to that countries economy in a positive way. In other words, most countries only accept the rich (or very well off) as immigrants.

The problem is that it takes so long to come here legally. (Sometimes it does take too long though.) The problem is that it takes to short to come here illegally,

At this point it isn't a question of injustice. You can break the law and come here illegally, also. What would be unjust would be to give illegals a path to amnesty and leaving all of the millions around the world who waited their turn to fill out some paperwork.

We can't go at all if we are poor. Check out their immigration laws.

We subsidize the poor immigrants, so we limit how many can come. It is a good deal for them to be subsidized, so the wait is long. They have no RIGHT to be subsidized at all. It is our money, and we built the schools, the services, and the infrastructure.

I think there are alot more people trying to get into the US. There for longer wait. Plus there are too many illegals here anyway why expedite it? That's why there needs to be law and order to this whole immigration issue, so it can be fair to all.
