Because you have cleansed all of the natural oils from your skin that make it smooth and elastic. Just apply moisturizer when it feels like this. You also may want to consider a more mild face wash.

Me too, I hate that feeling. I put lots of moisturizer on after I wash my face. But if I forget and just go to bed, my face feels fine in the morning, so I guess it replentished it's natural oils by itself.

The soap that you use to wash up with, even if it's caress (I use this) causes your skin to feel tight, I use Dove moisturizer after and I feel much better, as well as my face does too.

your skin feels tight after you wash it, as you have used a harsh soap that has removed the acid mantle ( protective film) from your skin. Use a light moisturizer, that should do the trick :)

It takes all the natural oils out and tightens the pores. Thats why it feels better after you moisturize it!

i think it will depends on the temperature of water you used.possibly you used a cold water that make your skin pores to close, that's maybe the reason that you feel it was tight.

The temperature of your face descends and somewhat "solidifies" your skin... You can prove it if you try warm or hot water and fresh or ice water...
