I'm not "in" love with myself as we think of falling in love, but I love who I am in Christ Jesus, else I would not know how to love others. He had to teach me to love myself, and it was a glorious moment when I was finally aware of what he meant when he said because I first loved you - now I can love my husband in a whole different way because I am not selfishly in love with me and my wants, but love who I am and want for him. It's a hard one to explain, but if you understand it, then you've been taught by Jesus too, I'd say!

You better not be , because it is a sin to love yourself before others. How dare anyone put themselves before others. It is really a sin.

I love myself, but I am not in love with myself in a romantic way. There are different types of love according to the Greek culture. Love of family, love of neighbor, love of God, love of spouse...I love myself because God made me who I am.

That's called narcissim. Who wouldn't love him/herself? When an airliner is in danger, the pilot takes care of himself first.
