my son he is 21 his dream was to be in the army but our country does not have an army we came from one of the small caribbean countries his grand father faught the 2nd world war with the british . i guess its genetic.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A UNITED STATES CITIZEN TO BE IN THE UNITED STATES MILITARY.
I know plenty of people in the US military that are not Citizens.
Not being a Citizen will restrict him from certain jobs, but he can join.

Have your son call up an Army recruiter, and you'll know all the facts.

Go to the American consulate for your country and ask the consulate about the possibility of your son being a soldier. I will almost bet you that he could get clearance to join.

No, you do NOT have to be a citizen of the U.S. to serve in the U.S. armed forces. There are thousands of Hispanic kids and kids from Middle East countries who entered the U.S. as refugees who are not citizens.

He should apply for U.S. citizenship as soon as he is eligable. He can join (once he is a citizen) as long as he meets other requirements and is under 27 years old. In the meantime he can apply for ROTC programs on college campuses across the country.

Tell him to call a recruiter closest to where you live. He can join. I served in the Marines with many individuals from other countries.

You don't have to be a U.S. citizen, to be a member of the U.S. Armed Services. If your son wants to enlist in the U.S. Army, the Army will welcome him, as a member, I am sure.

They would take you so you can die, funny though they wouldnt let you vote! Many in the US army are NOt citizens.

Have him learn a trade that doesn't involve killing people for oil and weapons testing.

may not be easy, probably extra documentation, but we take non-citizens all the time. call the recruiting office and they can tell you all about it. good luck and thanks.
