Don't see or watch a movie. That is not spending time with him. Your attention is in the wrong place.

Walk in the park. A day at the beach. Play pool at a pool hall. Bowling (you'll want a coupon, it's starting to get expensive. Go to a small local sporting event like minor league baseball, hockey, etc. Window shopping at the mall (if he likes that kind of thing), Fishing (it can be fun even if you don't know much about how to do it), flying kites, local farmers market or bazarre, listening to music and talking about your family, childhood, friends, school, life in general. Arm wrestling (well maybe not)

Depending on where you are from, if you check out your town's local Convention and Visitors Bureau website, or Touristy website, there is almost always a "free things to do".

Believe it or not, also depending on where you live, your local Public Library will have some interesting things going on for adults. You'd be surprised.

Other than that, make your own fun. Find some other couples who like to play cards or games and just have them over one evening after dinner; have some popcorn and cokes for inexpensive refreshments.

Go for a simple walk under the stars. Have a picnic. No cell phone. Do one on one time. these are the things that are perfect, cost free, and priceless. Enjoy one another.
