ok, so you are saying that indians and whites are the same race? It is not true. I agree that Hispanic people are (in my husbands case especially) Indigenous and white, but the area where his family is from (Tlaxcala) they derived from the Tlaxcaltecas that aided Cortez in fighting the Aztecs. In return Cortez allowed the people to maintain much of their culture. Some mixed more than others. So wouldnt someone indigenous have derived from the mongoloid race, and someone white, from the caucasoid (not sure of the spelling)?

poor girl!! People say that this is a illegal immigration issue not a racist issue, but people make it a racist issue when they make comments like "All Mexicans are stealing lazy a$$es" how can you debate with those kind of comments and say it's just a illegal immigration issue?I call BULL SH*T. and agree with you!!

No, I think you are wrong here. I just read all the responses to that "poor girl's" question and I found she got a decent mix of responses, probably well representative of the general citizenry of the USA. I even think there were more responses "for" her than "against" her. In fact, I read the last one who said she was married to an Hispanic and she found it was the opposite for her - she got more racism from Hispanics than from white people! So, go cry a river somewhere else! Don't be such a whiner! No, people are not "MORE openly racist against bi-racial marriages since the immigration media frenzy."

Some would be---especially in hot areas, by the border. If someone is hurt (in any way-taxes programs ect)by the mass immigration they would be more apt to say something.
Some as on posts just blow off steam-sometimes provoked.
And some have peer influences
Some have parent influences
On the whole we in American have see many mix race marriages media included so that in itself isn't shocking.
Anything or one that is a top subject in the news is a target for more.Look at OJ case-many people heard remarks on mix marriages.
And sad to see sometimes the most innocent are the targets. No one likes that or should I say MOST would not approve that. She didn't break any laws.

Mendi, I'm sorry, but I never thought of a Yankee married to a Mexican as a 'bi-racial' marriage. Although, I suppose being of Mexican nationality doesn't necessarily mean someone can't be black or Oriental. (Although, come to think of it, I never thought of a white being married to an Oriental as bi-racial, either.) I just don't know any. The Mexicans I know are all white.
Well, I guess I didn't think of that sense of 'brown' as more than a variation rather than a race. My brother in law is 'brown' I suppose, too, but I never thought of my sister as in a bi-racial marraige. If you consider yours that way, ok. No, I don't think there is more 'open racism' against it.

why just pick on "mexicans". I'm tired of all the things I disagree with, being shoved donw my throat and I'm suppose to just swallow it as being accpetable and normal practices....bull crap! If you want a particular breed of dog, people see no harm in that. Hell, they even have papers to prove the geneology of the dogs history. Well, now if you were to do the samething on a human level, then all of a sudden, people would think you were a racist and that it would be wrong. So behold, yet another example of how people put animals above themselves. Dig this folks, it's suppose to be the thoer way around!

Inter-racial marriages are fine with me. I am White, and my wife is Black. We are both against bi-racial marriages for immigration purposes or convenience.
We both vote and are watching our representatives' votes.
Blacks appear to be getting the short end of the stick to illegals. No matter what the reason, we both feel that America needs to take care of its own first. The hell with illegals.
We both pay an enormous amount of taxes because we both work.

I think the girl you gave link to is fabricating a story.
That is what I think.
I live in Seattle.
I ride the bus and I walk and I don't hear a thing....not a single word ....and there are plenty of so called bi racial couples.
her tale is......
BILGEWATER!!!
And when I get on bus there are White people, Asian people, Latinos and Black people. American Blacks and Black people from Africa.
Women clothed from head to foot with only their face and hands showing.
So maybe the whole country is in turmoil....outside Seattle city limits.

Jesus those of us who have been in bi-racial relationships don't count our bad days.....we count our good days. We have faced this for over 12 years and feel NO impact now.
She got negative comments to that question because she asked in the beginning "Why are you so ignorant".....if I wanted a really honest and great answer.....I don't start by offending people.
Peace
