Remember that they are 2 populations that eat and have a bowel movement. A newborn and elderly patient (especially one with dementia). It is a normal reflex for a newborn to eat/drink and fill up their tummy and then have a bowel movement. Normally, as one gets older that reflex disappears. In some people, that reflex does not disapper. I can imagine that if you have been doing this for years than it is proabably normal and okay for you. It just means that you are more intune with you body.

Well, I always thought 30 to 60 minutes after a meal was more like it. During? seems pretty quick. If you think it is a problem, then next time you are at the doctor's office ask their opinion.

BUT stay away from Chiropractor's. They are dangerous quacks and do not deserve the title Doctor. It is misleading.

I have had this same 'problem' for most of my life. In my case it is caused by two underlying conditions: Celiac Disease and a Hiatal Hernia. Generally, with regular treatment for the hiatal hernia by my Chiropractor, this problem is minimized. Celiac Disease requires the complete avoidance of wheat, rye and barley in my diet.

Have your Chiropractor evaluate you for a Hiatal Hernia. This is the most likely cause of your problem.

Best wishes and good luck.

You may have IBS - Irritable Bowl Syndrome. I would definately have it checked out - if possible.
