It's kinda touristy, especially around Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, but there are tons of neat things to do, and the Cherokee National Forrest is def worth a visit.... walk up to Clingman's Dome for a spectacular view of the unspoiled wilderness, its a must see.

I went there so many times when I was younger that it almost felt like my second home ;-) Personally, I love it. It is definitely not a place of material glamor and not an upper-class area, but it is still a lot of fun. There is tons of shows, great food and shopping, plus you have the beautiful mountains surrounding you. Unfortunately I haven't been there in over a year, so I'm ready to go back!

I live like really close to it and go there a lot! I love it. The view and things to do are great. Scenery is definitely my favorite thing, it's a great getaway place.
