different people have different ways of relating to people.
Some couples love to talk. Other couples are happy with comfortable silence.

When you find the right one, who you have a connection with, its like automatic comfort zone and you will be able to speak about anything. You will be able to tell them your most embarrassing stories and say whatever is on your mind and they won't care.
You probably aren't boring, but if your relationships are purely physical and you aren't planning dates and things to do together you can't really get to know someone. And the more experiences you share together, the more stories you have to reminsce and laugh over. Sorry if that is confusing??!!
Did you ever think that these people who spend hours talking to eachother on the phone have nothing left to say when the finally see eachother in person? My boyfriend and I hardly talk on the phone so when i met up with him its all exciting and with have new stuff to talk about.

My bf and i talk about anything and everything. We tell each other about our day, how were feeling and just random stuff that weve heard or seen. Sometimes our conversations have gotten as odd as talking about toothpaste and just random facts. Like today he texts me to tell me about scientists doing a study on miscarriages and whether first child being a boy is a higher risk to having a miscarriage on the second child. This of course sparks a long discussion.
random talks are the best

Well, that's deep! Okay - I can tell you what some couples speak of and that's lots of things. Some of them are: how they are feeling/doing/going to do, what is happening (at any given time)/has happened/going to happen, about the people either of them are around (family, friends, etc. and what they might be feeling/doing/going to do), they might speak of having/getting a job/going (or not going) to school/church/the mall/a movie/on a date, whatever, I could go on & on & on & on, etc. There is a tremendous amount of things any two people may speak of.
Now, as to the other part of your question. Perhaps these "relationships" you're talking about are extremely "short term" connections, whereas, there may not be a lot of time for talking. Perhaps you aren't one of those persons who need to communicate, however, if you're not a communicator how is it that you're asking a question concerning communication! Do you "miss" not being able to communicate with the person with whom you're in a relationship. Could it be that you're waiting for the other person to begin the "speaking". Perhaps they don't need to communicate, whatever, you can begin the "speaking", you don't have to wait for the other person to begin. You do the "thinking" find out whether or not you need to begin to communicate - and either do it or not.

well when i was with my ex, though the sex was great, we'd make a point to always talk about something deep. it can be anything from family stuff to politics. i found that we enjoyed talking about mythologies and romance novels quite a bit and so we always had our conversations about those and no we don't lead those conversations into having sex...lol.,.

Couples are too busy loving when they are together..so they talk on phone only when they are away to catch up on important things.
