The study of insects is called Entomology but when you study a certain species is called something else. so to the point The study of bees is called APIOLOGY or melittology

Apiology (or melittology) - bees
Coleopterology - beetles
Dipterology - flies
Heteropterology - true bugs
Lepidopterology - moths and butterflies
Myrmecology - ants
Orthopterology - grasshoppers, crickets, etc.
