Upon entering the little country store, the stranger noticed a sign
saying; DANGER! BEWARE OF DOG! posted on the glass door.
Inside he noticed a harmless old hound dog asleep on the floor besides
the cash register.
He asked the store manager, "Is THAT the dog folks are supposed to
beware of?"
"Yep, that's him," he replied.
The stranger couldn't help but be amused. "That certainly doesn't look
like a dangerous dog to me. Why in the world would you post that sign?"
"Because," the owner replied, "before I posted that sign, people kept
tripping over him."

Welp! Was it worth a smile for this here SmileyCat : ) ? What town are you smiling from?

That's funny. That reminds me of our Norwegian Elkhound, Schnorkel. When I was young, he would always slept in front of our resort's business door at night. He scared all the late arriving patrons away. The one night our dog didn't sleep in front of the door was the same night that my dad was robbed at gunpoint. After that, we let the dog sleep in front of the door all he wanted. This happened when I lived in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. Today, I live in San Antonio, Texas. I have a border collie, a chow-lab, and a german shepard.

Yeah, that was a good one. Listen to this: I once saw a sign: 'Mad dog! The owner even madder!' or 'It takes this dog 2 seconds to run to the fence. How long will it take you?'

Still, yours is better. I'll remember it to tell my friends.
