There are THOUSANDS of RESOLVED questions that will tell you EXACTLY how people feel about this.

If it is not, you just enjoy seeing "fundies" froth at the mouth and gay people get upset by the nonsense the fundies spout.

The way I see it is.....it is very possible for gay people to believe in God and be christian. I'm not gay, so how can I judge anyone who is. I think if it is wrong for them to be gay God will change there hearts and lead them down the right path. (Not that I'm saying it is wrong) It's like a liar. You don't all of a sudden stop lying because you've become christian. For some reason after you become christian it bothers you to lie because you know it's wrong. Eventually you cant.....I think the same would go for a gay person. God would deal with their heart. Perhaps that would be a good question to post. Has anyone went strait after becoming a christian because you felt God tugging at your conscience??

To be a Christian all that you must do is believe the Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he died on the cross for you! Whether you are gay or straight doesn't factor into the equation. I believe that as a Christian God wants me to spend my life glorifying Him and telling others about Him. (a Side note - I believe that being gay is a choice and is not what God designed us for but that does not mean that I do not love and support people that think they are gay.)

Don't sweat it, God loves gay people, he loves everyone. It's just the Christian's that do the hate mongering. According to the bible there is no sin that is greater or lessor than another, so for all those overweight people who are guilty of one of the seven deadly sins; glutony....you can tell every fat Christian to shove his hate mongering anti-gay rethoric up his bible. To put the focus on gay people when there are so many other sins in their own houses is typical of most Christian's who seem to believe that they can sit in judgement; I thought that was God's job. Christian's need to STFU and take care of their own business, and let everyone else deal with God on their own terms. Wasn't Jesus who told everyone they could have their own personal relationship with God; I don't think he said that you should listen to dumb *** self-righteous Christian's.
Homosexuality is barely mentioned in the bible; and if you compare it to the volumes of stuff on love and acceptance, it's a slam dunk that it's just the ignorant Christian's taking a small part of the bible to advance their own agenda and claiming it to be God's priority. Hell the bible promotes slavery, that's the word of God too, and until very recently Christian's would have argued just as strongly that God said slaves are ok. This gay thing in 100 years will also be a time of shame for Christian's as they will realize that they read the bible wrong or put undue emphasis on it like they did slavery.

Hello, I've recently been thinking about this topic and let me give you my answer. I personally think that homosexuality is a sin, or a moral deviation. Don't take me wrong, I don't discriminate but being gay is something that by yourself you can't help just like being addicted to cigarrettes, alcohol, etc. The difference will be done by Christ. When you accept him as Lord and savior sincerely, then he will start changing your life and you will eventually stop being gay because of his work in you. Now take note that this is only if you sincerely acknoledge Jesus as the only way into heaven. God Bless.

Yes, it is very possible for gay people to believe in God and be Christian, Catholic, Baptist, whatever. It is not the religion that makes the person. Being gay is similar to liking spicy food...some are more inclined to it and some can never eat it. It isn't a choice; it's the way they are born. Whether they ever acknowledge it depends on how they were raised.

There’s more to being a Christian than just believing. Remember, the demons also believe, but that doesn’t mean they are Christians.
“You believe there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder.” James 2:19
Being Christian means that we are footstep FOLLOWERS of Christ. It means that we must follow Christ’s example, or life pattern. And I’m quite certain that Christ was no homosexual; he spoke out against that practice, as he and his father are of one mind on the subject.
We cannot just take parts of the scriptures that fit the lifestyle we want to lead and expect it to be okay with God. Imagine moving to a foreign country and deciding that we don’t want to follow the laws of the land. It would be foolish and disrespectful to try to make up our own rules and regulations and expect to do well in that land. How much more so does the supreme creator of the universe deserve to have his laws and principles obeyed? In this way, we can remain in a good relationship with him.
“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.” Matthew 7:21-23
ps: Great answer, angelvic!

You can believe in any thing you want, God included in this, God died on that cross for all our sins, not just some of them. He didn't pick through and say this sin ok this one not, he died for all the sin of all mankind,
he does however want you to repent, be baptized and saved..
Acts 2:38
If other say you will go to hell , need to have alittle talk with Jesus, because blaspheming of the Holy Ghost is the only un forgiven sin..
I didn't say you would go to heaven or not being gay or any other sin you do, but they can't tell you either, Only God know the true answer.
Don't let anyone make your turn you back on Jesus Christ, It only mater what Jesus Christ thinks, and if you give your heart, soul and mind to him, he will put on your heart what you should do and what you shouldn't do.

I am not a Bible scholor but as a Christian our goal is to be Christlike. To be renewed in our mind.As we apply the word of God to our lives there will be a process of transformation. It matters not where we are in life as we all sin and fall short.God looks at the heart. There are stipulations in the Bible that tell us what not to do or what not to be apart of.It is a guide book for life.Off hand I don't have the scripture but certain lifestyles are an abomination. We're not to go there.Yes, God loves us all but He requires purity, righteousness, holiness and above all to walk in Love for all. Some want to dismiss the truth.Well He does give us a free will.I am a sinner saved by grace and I am so thankful.

As I understand it,there are demonic spirits that causes one to be gay. I had a roomate who I suspected had gay tendencies, but was a very devout christian. If I were in that situation,I would be putting some serious prayer and fasting toward that problem. I've known of people to have had the gay desires taken from them. I would also suggest going to a faith healer. It worked for me on a medical problem I was having.
Good luck and God bless

I beleive so.
Being gay is a sin, yes, but so is so many other things. We are all guilty of sin and need to repent and turn back to God. Jesus died for All of our sins, not just a few.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Can you be Gay and a Christian? Yes Can you be a sinner and a Christian? Yes. You just have to repent and ask God for help and forgiveness.
Being Gay is no worse of a sin than any other. Humans just make it off to be, because they feel uncomfortable with it.
There is nothing that we can do extra that can make us go to heaven. There is no " more to it than that"
"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy." Titus 3:5 Salvation is only through the Cross, and because of Jesus Christ.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
The Bible has an amazing promise for All people.
♥"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Romans 10:9-10
That message is for everybody!
