Try using conditioners and anti-frizz serum.
You just need to make sure your hair is properly moisturized.
I have thick hair too, but when I went to the hair salon, they had these scissors that helped "thin out" my hair, so it wasn't so poofy.
Hoped that helped

I'm white but I have very thick, stiff hair. The best bet for my hair has always been to keep it short, moisturized, and not to blow dry. My hair is wavy but not what you call frizzy. My daughter has frizzies along side her face and about all I can do is put a cream in it to hold it down some what. Thinning does help too. I have pictures of myself when I was a teen, with so much hair, you would not believe it. Keeping your hair shorter and using frizz ease or other calming cream might work.

I know alot of girls with your problem. After washing your hair, put a good conditioner on and comb your hair while the conditioner is still in. When done, rinse out the conditioner and your hair will not tangle. The reason for combing the hair while the conditioner is still in, conditioner coats the hair and makes it easier to comb. Once you have rinsed your hair it will be soft and untangled. Hope this helps.

ok...heres what you need to do..i have very very very very very thick wavy frizzy hair....and im like a spazz about it...my hair always looks perfect when i straighten it cuz i care a whole lot about it.You should buy the following products:
1.Matrix sleek look shampoo and conditioner
2.Any Creme leave in conditioner of your choice..(spray on leave in's are not as thick and not as mouisturizing.)
3.Frizz Ease Extra Strength hair serum
4.Loreal Studio line hot straight
Wash your hair, condition it ,then apply the products in the order i listed them...comb your hair through..blow dry section by section with a flat, metal brush with air vents...(so that the heat gets through and truly straightens.)Then smooth selected sections of hair with a CERAMIC(less damage)flat iron. But watch out for over using the flat iron..split ends are a biotch to deal with..WHATEVER YOU DO: DO NOT USE A CLOTHES IRON ON YOUR HAIR...IT WILL DAMAGE IT REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD AND IT WILL LOOK DUMB AND UGLY CUZ UR ROOTS WILL STILL BE KINKY. hope this info helps you out.good luck :)

I have a similar problem. I highly recommend the matrix straightening system. It is very expensive, but it is permanent. Also, if that turns out to cost too much they have a line of shampoos, conditioners and syling products that help to keep our hair soft, smooth and non frizzy. Oh, and don't forget to ask your hair sylist to thin your hair at your cuts. Lastly, if your in a hurry and just don't have the time or money for my other suggestions try children's versions of pink (like just for me or baby love). They smooth out hair and reduce frizz without making your hair feel greasy.

This may not be a ? I can answer but I hope. My sister has 4 "brown babies" we say. All very cute. 3 boys and a little girl (meaner than snot) They 2 have hair issues. The boys have hair like their daddy. Short and thick. But my sis wants her girls to grow out. She uses a coco butter conditioner she buys at walmart for black hair and it looks clean and silky and very manageable.

Hmm... Hair is so ridiculous it's not even funny. Use Aussie's Deeeeeeep 3 Minute Miracle Conditioning treatment and some sort of smoothing balm with a leave-in conditioner. Don't OVER condition though.

I know people with that same problem. My friend gets a straightener put in by the hairdresser, kind of like a perm I guess only it's permed straight.... Your hair salon could tell you more about it, but it works great for her. She has to go occasionally just like you would if you had a curly perm to get the roots of your hair done..... best of luck!!! hope I helped.

hey, im mixed too and have hair like what u described. after years of trying to tame it, my cousin told me to iron it. Basically what you do is wash your hair, put baby oil in it while its wet, and let your mom iron it with an iron (a new one, dont use the one u use on ur clothes, it'll get oily). it works, then the roots you'll have to you a straightening iron (for hair). it really works, now my hair is straight (no relaxer) and very manageable. if u have any questions, feel free to ask. good luck!
