its hard because you have to blow out and breath in thru ur nose at the same time.
I'm in australia although not native aust (aboriginal)

Blow as if it were a brass instrument...you have to vibrate your lips in the same manner...and then use your mouth and tongue to vary the pressure and pitch of the instrument. There's a technique for 'continuous breathing' that some use when playing the instrument.

Usually people use a technique called circular breathing, where you take in air while you are expelling it to play the digeridoo. I have heard, however, that this is not how native Aboriginals play; they take very quick breaths while playing instead.

I think you blow raspberries into the top of it - at least that's what I'm always told - but it never works for me, I always end up getting spit inside of it!
