What is an active X control? I'm trying to install a plug in and it gives me this message.?

I'm trying to install Director on the computer.

You will need this program to be able to load director on your computer and use it. It is kind of like that stamp you get when you go clubbin'. that's how they let you in.

One thing I didn't see mentioned in the earlier posts is that ActiveX works with Internet Explorer. Your security settings for the browser may be interfering.

It sounds like you need to upgrade your activeX controls. Check out http://update.microsoft.com

When you need a plug in, it will say install active x. You will see, a bar, underneath, where your toolbars are, just click on it, and it will install, what you need. Just install active x, if you are asking for something to be installed.
