I think it is like 12x or 15x more likely to occur.
But the stuff they don't talk about is probably even more important. Your teeth will darken...which to me is sort of gross. Your voice will get sort of raspy...which is gross if you are a girl. Your breath will kinda stink which is gross. Also, you won't really have as much energy to do stuff..you'll get tired easier, etc. You won't be in as good shape if you smoke. Even sex is worse. When your body is in bad shape, sex is not as good as when you are in good shape. I would say that stuff is even worse than the chance of cancer...

Interestingly enough, there has never been conclusive scientific proof that smoking ever actually causes cancer. There are a lot of other lung disorders that it definitely causes. Yes, you're more likely to get cancer if you smoke, but I firmly believe that a predisposition to cancerous growth is necessary. There are too many old, old heavy smokers out there to support the idea that lung cancer definitely causes cancer.
But if you don't smoke, don't start. It's a nasty habit that's hell to break and not worth the loss of lung capacity, chronic cough, raw throat, etc. I know.

A LOT!!! Why would you start smoking? With all the knowledge we have now a days about the dangers of smoking; the fact that people still consider it an option is appalling to me! Let's just put it this way, you smoke, you get lung cancer, people around you (even non-smokers) can get lung cancer from second hand smoke. Your children, they are born with low birth weights, they get asthma and other respiratory illnesses. People die from cancer, people die from asthma episodes they can't control.
Oxygen is necessary to live.
Still consider it an option?

The chances are pretty good that you will get either cancer or emphysema. Before you start, or continue if you have already started, you should pay a visit to the local hospital (call first and make arrangements,) and get a doctor who treats these diseases to let you see some patients who have these ailments. It might help you to see what is in your likely future. Sort of a "Scared Straight" program for new smokers.

it truly is fantastically difficult to assert... even however, you're no longer putting a filter out on your blunts i assume, and a crutch does not truly filter out any tar or undesirable stuff out, the place a cigarette has a filter out on it and that kind of reduces the undesirable stuff stepping into your lungs. it truly is fantastically particular that a blunt is worse on your lungs than a pair cigarettes. A blunt an afternoon could easily boost your threat, yet once you initiate smoking cigarettes it truly is in all probability that your habit could finally end up being a %. an afternoon or extra this is a lot worse than a blunt an afternoon. no longer too lots learn has been executed on the long term era well being of pot people who smoke' lungs.

Pretty darned good! And my father died that way. Specialists in Spokane told him once you get lung cancer it travels either into your lower extremities or into your brain. He had it travel upwards for brain tumor, had black outs, and underwent radiation. He died on a breathing machine and had morphine for pain. So, either don't start or quit while you are ahead. If you ever have the opportunity to visit a hospital with a lung cancer patient in the throes of death you will make different choices. I quit.
