Maybe nothing. . . Maybe lots of things. It is all a crap shoot.

Smoking has been known to cause low birth weight in babies, as well as miscarriages. I know of women who smoked through their entire pregnancy and had perfectly healthy babies. But I also know of some that lost their babies. I didn't smoke during my pregnancy because for me, any chance of losing my baby was too much of a chance.

It isn't advisable to smoke during pregnancy, but if you have questions, ask your ob/gyn for the information. They will tell you what's what, as well as give you some information on the topic.

Hope it helps!

Could cause low birth weight, premature birth, placenta abrupto, and a host of other problems. Operative word is "could". I smoked while pregnant with all my children. I had one that had serious complications, and eventually died. My smoking may or may not have been a factor in that case.

Read the warning label on the package of any cigarette box...they cause birth defects & miscarrages. Don't smoke if you love your own flesh & blood.
