From an Asthma Institute:
* Cigarette smoke makes your asthma worse by irritating your airways and causing them to narrow.
* Teens who smoke are less likely to have that long-term improvement in their asthma, sometimes called “outgrowing,” than non-smokers.
* Smoking increases the risk of asthma attacks, and can permanently damage your airways – there is no cure for that!
* Smoking lines your lungs with tar, making them less efficient. That makes sports and exercise even harder.

This is for teens, but most likely applies to other ages as well.

It'll make it a million times worse. With asthma your lungs can't get enough air as it is, smoking makes your air intake worse and worse.

Of course not! Smoking does wonders for your health. My father-in-law gets to carry his oxygen tank everywhere he goes, which isn't very far because he can't be too active after he had part of his lung removed a couple of months ago and was in a hospital bed for 3 weeks. Go ahead. Enjoy!

DEFINITELY!! Cigarettes cause vasoconstriction-it causes veins and arteries to get smaller. When you have asthma you have an overactive airway which at times constrict. The blood carries the oxygen, and you are making those pipelines even smaller so they can't do their job.

yes.because the particle in cigarettes can trigger the asthma. and it can make u'r bronchiole in u'r lung to constrict, so u'll inhale less oxygen.the particle can also trigger inflamation reaction in u'r lung tissue, causing a productive cough, n for some ppl, coughing can also trigger asthma attack. STOP NOW!!!!!
