I have a friend with exactly the same stats. I don't think he's gay at all. He's just very shy and independent and just plain doesn't need a woman to be happy. Oh yeah, and he respects women and doesn't want to use them for sex. Weird. Man, do I want him...

No, but try setting him up on a blind date if he agrees to it. If you notice other gay qualities, then maybe he is gay, but do not follow that insinct. If he is, let him come out of the closet on his own. Just make sure that you are a good friend and support him either way.

Only being attracted to other males makes him gay. Some single people never date and that doesn't make them gay, just not interested.

The only thing that would make him gay is if he was sexually attracted to other males. Maybe he just hasn't found someone he thinks he'd have a good time with.

Did he date a man? This would make him gay, anything else makes him just sad, that's all.

Maybe he's just very confident in the type of person he is, and he is very certain about the qualities he wants in the people with whom he chooses to spend his time, money, feelings, and confidences. Your friends sounds more like he's unwilling to settle.

I would say that man will not sell himself short merely to bend to peer pressure. Good for him.

not very detailed enough in what you wrote, but from what you only said, no, he just needs time. some people take longer to recover from a long relationship or anything like that. or he has developed a problem with commitment that even makes him not want to date.

Well, obviously! If he doesn't have the personality to acquire a mate from the opposite sex, he therefore must go to the other side of the fence. Are you sure it's not his personality? Or maybe he's shy.

No, if he chooses not to date, that has nothing to do with his choice of who he wants to be with. There could be a lot of reasons why he chooses not to date, don't jump to conclusions based on him not dating anyone.
