I had a dream that there was a great flood there was suddenly a burning cross coming down in a dark night sky, and i immediately knew that it was the return of Christ, and awe came over me and everyone else, and i prayed that god forgive me for my sins, and i started the famous prayer"our father, Who"and thousands of people chanted it in unison w/ me.

The great flood you mention is the word of God going out, covering the whole earth, at the end of the Flood The cross came down. (Most Christians use the cross to represent Christ, but a burning cross is used to represent evil). The Anti-Christ shall come and deceive many. Many shall follow him thinking he is the Messiah returning. Your dream means this That the word of God has soon has it is in every country the anti-christ shall come and deceive many even the very elect (saints) of God.

Your dream is symbolic. The great flood represents the power of darkness or Lucifer. God does not destroy, the devil does. The enemy will be busy like never before because he knows this is his final chapter. The bible itself says when the enemy shall come in like a flood that he would lift up a standard against him.
Nevertheless, in the midst of his distruction the power of God will appear and be the salvation of many. The burning cross represents the power of the Holy Spirit as found in the book of Acts. When He appeared to the saints on the day of Pentecost, He came in the form of fire or power. Remember Jesus Himself said, "You shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you." Fire represent the power of God.
It will happen just like you invisioned. It is not simply talking about a world wide rapture but what is to come on the USA. God will shake the States from its foundation. He will remove His hands and allow the power of darkness to have its way for a season. We are quick to want God to punish the whole world, but the USA will get plucked. Our symbol is the eagle. The bible says that the eagle will be plucked.
We are the only nation in the world that used to know him but has told him to take a hike. Something is about to take place that is major, and I am not talking about the earthquake in San Francisco, which will happened. When it does, the golden gate bridge will fall in the bay.

I think it means that the flood is the angels coming with Christ or the flood could be the plagues in Revelation, and when you started to pray that was maybe the part where every knee will bow and confess Jesus is Lord.

Your dream is really something that you would find in last section of the Bible, which is Revelations.
Also, there are many floods mentioned in that part and other parts of the Bible. Also, burning cross in the night sky...

Sounds very spiritual! The delight of Jesus return will be awesome! Maybe your dream is trying to say that you and the people around you should accept Jesus: before he returns, if you haven't done so already. I'm no interpreter but it sounds like your dream speaks for itself. Jesus is coming soon, so make sure you're prepared b4 his arrival: whenever that may be. You never know, God speaks in mysterious ways.

I think your dream was like Noah the ark remember there was a great flood and after 40 days he sent a rainbow for his promise for us to never let it rain again and I think your dream means that you should change your heart for him. Jesus is coming back
