plucked a chicken? my neighbors have some and invited me over to help pluck them??? (they are having a big dinner) and i was asked to help...but i have never did it before...have you?

Dip the dead chicken in hot water to soften the feathers then pluck away.

nope & i would never go near a life chicken or to pluck them. honestly i'm very uncomfortable with them. i don't mind eating chicken & cleaning them so long the feathers & their insides r all gone!!! eeeeww.... =(

No, but I have plucked a goose and some ducks. I imagine they are very similar.

Dood, no....I make my husband clean the fish too. In high school biology class, I had a nice boy cut up my stinkin' frog. I don't think I will ever be a'pluckin' feathers from any chickens, though my Granny used to swing them around her head to break their necks. (relax, Chicken Boy!)

Yea i did it on my grandpas farm one time and i got half way thur it and i puked it was gross first u wet the whole body in warm water then u pluck the head then the body its kinda cool and kinda gross....

yes i have, it was very enjoyable although it was a nightmare trying to keep it quiet and not to wake up the farmer......... oh hang on, you said 'plucked a chicken'....

Sure, lots of times. Just pull the feathers out with the grain, so you don't rip the skin. (Grab a few, and pull in the direction they're growing.)

wow... .. with all the modern day simplicities of life i didn't know anyone still did this.. ..
why, when it's to convenient to buy one already dead.. plucked.. and sometimes cut up
